Perfect for our Ski Trip

We stayed for 2 nights to ski at Whiteface. It was less than 20 minutes to the mountain. The property had plenty of room for our party of 6. There were also a variety of restaurants within less than 10 minutes drive.The property was clean and communication with the host was clear and quick.We especially enjoyed the game room. I highly recommend it.

Great location!

We really enjoyed the cabin. Three couples, ample space for all. Rec room downstairs, no access from inside. The one item which was disappointing was that the 3rd bathroom is located in the basement with only outdoor access. Not very condusive to late night runs to the loo.

Charming and peaceful cabin

Our family (2 adults, 2 grandparents, and 2 kids) had an incredible time at this beautiful home nestled in the woods. The house is beyond clean! It had everything we needed to enjoy a long winter weekend with family. You can see all the thought that went into choosing the furniture and artwork. Appliances were brand new and we were able to cook meals from home and sit comfortably together at the dining room table overlooking the woods. We had lots of fun playing pool in the game room. We loved cross country skiing at nearby Mt. Hoevenberg and exploring the town of Lake Placid. The owners were lovely and easy to reach. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this home again soon!

Beyond expectations

The sentinel cabin was beautiful, clean, had comfy beds and a fully equipped kitchen. There was even a game room with a pool table. We felt like we were tucked back in the woods, secluded yet taken care of. We loved being in the mountains and staying here! We will be back!!

Beautiful getaway

It was very comfortable for the entire family. Very clean and great decor. If you come here you want to be outdoors but coming into the house makes you feel at home. We were able to get everything we needed from the little market in town. Also there not being cell phone service or wifi or cable really made us disconnect which is hard to do even when you're away from home because we're always looking at our phones.

Nice place

A little guesswork needed to actually find the property but once that was sorted out it was a very nice place. Extremely well located for activities and dining in the area. Nice kitchen that was well equipped. Comfortable beds.

The Sentinel Rocks

Meghan and Tyler have a great property that is secluded in the heart of the Adirondacks. The cabin has every amenity except WiFi and that wasn’t missed. The kitchen is completely equipped with anything you would ever need and the rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable. What’s not to love?!

Great Experience

This property is fantastic, very clean and quiet. At first you question how it will be without WiFi and tv with kids but the property had plenty of things to keep them busy and you learn quickly is nice getting outside. Highly recommended if you want to live the simple life with a very nice cabin.

A Magical Place

I have stayed in many Bed & Breakfasts and inns in Europe and the United States. This wonderful Sentinel Cabin is by far the most beautiful, special place! Not only is the cabin in pristine condition and was meticulously cleaned prior to our arrival, but also the grounds surrounding the cabin are simply stunning. I suggest taking advantage of all of the hiking around the Sentinel Cabin and Bark Eater Inn. The owner of the cabin is also extremely helpful and will answer promptly any questions you may have. So grateful to have found this GEM and look forward to staying here again!

Perfect Adirondack Cabin

We loved our stay at this cabin. It was IMMACULATE and freshly renovated so that was really pleasant. Everything was as listed but, really, much nicer. We loved the rear deck and the downstairs game room pool table. Kitchen was perfect. The property is amazing. We walked the trails everyday and the views along the trail are amazing. We will be going back and staying again, most likely in winter for skiing the trails there. The hosts are great, by the way. I can’t say enough nice things about this place.
