Situated 2 minuttes walk from the small busstation, 4 minuttes to the harbour, and the towncenter starting just outsider the door, hotel Sunrise is a good choice. For the price given it is very good! The service, the cleaning, the breakfast and the room with a nice view to the see, will give you a nice stay!

This is a delicious Hotel in the centre of Pigadia. You just ought to walk out the door and the great offers of Restaurants and shops appear to you. The port is very close. The beach is very close as well but if you want reach the nicest one you gotta walk at least 500/600 meters.

We found the hotel through Google, we got in contact with the owner on their public site and trusted the man, so we got our accommodation and paid 15% in advance. We expected a 2* hotel as it had a lower rate than other places around, but when we arrived we realised it was way better. The photos they share are less than the reality. The double room was large enough, the family room was way larger (including 2 rooms with king size beds and an extra large balcony). The bathrooms are small but not at all too small, the balconies are large enough for 2 persons. The breakfast included was considered repetitive but we found it offered quite an option (boiled eggs, cheese, butter, coffee, tea, greek yoghurt, honey, jams, confitures, cold cuts, milk and cereals, olives, fresh melon and watermelon). It really is very clean and the stuff is very polite and helpful. All the rooms have a great sea view on the bay, especially on higher floors, shade in the morning - very useful, the elevator is large and functional. It is situated in a pretty quite area - needed at night, but very close to everything you need (markets, local beach - to use only on the firts day and tavernas). The air conditioning is good and functional, the fridge included also spacious and quiet. There is no kichinette as it is a hotel but not needed, either. They speak good English and the owner, Mr. Michael is very professional and helpful, as he took into consideration all our needs and even found us a car at a good price in no time. They are not nosy but careful with everyone's needs. We really enjoyed the stay at Sunrise hotel and highly recommend it !

Stayed here in October. Was surprised at the hotel as it was my first time in karpathos and was unsure what to expect. The hotel is situated over looking the beach and harbour. Views stunning. It's within minutes from the beach or a walk along the harbour where you will find some fab cafe bars. The hotel itself is spotless and very relaxed. Staff very friendly. Decor is modern and comfortable. Breakfast was good as there was a good variety. If in Karpathos this is one to stay in.

This is an excellent place to use as a base for a few days in Karpathos. It is located just outside the harbor, a 5-10 min walk, and near the beach, car rental, shops and restaurant. The place is a renovated four floors building with no frills but clean and functional rooms. Excellent and quiet air conditioning and a good bathroom. Most of the rooms have a balcony with view of the bay. It is family owned and operated and provides and excellent and knowledgeable service. Their is a little bar and the breakfast is "minimalistic". This is the place to stay if you require a non frill, clean, nice and quiet hotel at an amazing cost.

By staying for 1 night only for bussiness purposes all i have to say that this small but very convenient hotel was perfect. Just opposite of the main street is tha right one point to arange al uou have to do in the town. Rooms with nice sea view, very simple check in with the boys and girls in the refeption, very good breakfast and quite rooms. Clean and nice rooms. You want nothibg else in order to arrange your work and your stay

The location of the hotel Sunrise is ideal - in walking distance to the harbour, the town center and the beach. Almost all rooms have a balcony facing the sea. The road passing in front is not much frequented, so nights are pretty quiet. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Off-season it is a two-man-show: Owner and manager Michalis and his help Kostas, who in turns also do the breakfast, which starts already at 7am (which is earlier than in most places). It is a buffet with a sweet, syrupy orange-juice, with apple-juice, with cornflakes, milk, jam, honey, butter, hard-boiled eggs, two kind of cold-cuts, cheese slices and slices of traditional bread. Coffee or tea get served at the table. For the rather low price asked one cannot expect too much of the rooms. First of all they are clean, although on one day a week there is no room-service, since it is the day off of the cleaning staff. Due to old plumbing the toilet-paper has to go into a bucket. Also there is no shampoo or hairdryer - no different from other places here around in this category. There is free internet, also in the rooms with a regularly changing password (ask for it at reception). The small TV has one international news channel: Euronews in English. End of April I encountered mosquitoes in the room, so I went to buy repellant. There is an elevator up to the rooms (appreciated with plenty of luggage).

I visit the island for businesses trip so this nice and central hotel had all I need for my stay . Near the hotel is a nice beach, you can walk around the center , but for sure rent a car and drive around the island . The scenery of this island is unique . Very nice and helpful staff , very clean room and good wifi!

If you are looking for a relaxed stay on Karpathos and you want to have a nice view at the beautiful blue/aqua see than Hotel Sunrice is the place to stay. It is located near the villagecenter. So it is only a few minutes away from all the nice restaurants where you can enjoy an excellent meal. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. We had a nice welcome by the hotelowner, a nice view at sea from our hotelroom. Breakfast is sufficient, only the shower was a bit small but sufficient as well. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sunrise!

Love, love, love this hotel! Best location. Somehow the noise level is low despite location. Across the street from Hertz, 2 minute walk to an ATM and a grocery store. Hotel has beautiful views as does the restaurant seating outdoors. Prices are very reasonable, had a smaller room for 40 € through larger rooms are available for more money but we chose the lower priced. Stayed last year for 5 nights and 10 this year. I would not consider another place in Pigadia.
