This is a nice little hotel/suite of apartments. It is very reasonably priced, clean but on the basic side, actually quite refreshing. The apartment we stayed in had a minimum kitchen, electric kettle, hot plate and fridge. Some utensils, plates pots and pans. The linen and towels were clean. Bedroom had an air conditioner. The hotel is within walking distance of a number of restaurants - down some stairs. Mama cuisine was the best.
We stayed for 10 days in Hotel Arhontiko at Finiki. Bear in mind that you need to have a car or a bike because Finiki although has nice restaurants and bars has no mini market and you have to go to nearby Arkassa town which is around 2km far from Finiki. Our studio (as all other rooms I suppose) had a great view to the picturesque beach and port of Finiki and a balcony which is spacious and nice to sit and enjoy the sunset. The room as well as the whole complex was clean and it was equipped with a small kitchen with all the necessary equipment to prepare breakfast since there was no breakfast served at the hotel. The room was equipped with A/C although you probably do not need it in such a windy island, wifi and a tv that unfortunately was not receiving any TV channels due to bad reception antenna. The bathroom was spacious although the shower was small and it definitely needs a cabin to prevent water on the floor after shower. The bed was a mattress located at a higher wooden decorated level. See the picture attached. We will definitely return to Karpathos with its beautiful beaches and villages sometime and we will definitely stay at Finiki village and Hotel Arhontiko again.
We chose this hotel because we immediately fell in love with the place after seeing it on the internet. We read some positive comments on trip advisor and decided to book. Obviously we didn't know wether to trust both the pictures and the comments. When we arrived the very friendly welcoming of Dino and the cozy atmosphere of this small hotel made us feel at home. The rooms are simple, but very clean and overlook the sea. You can see the boats of the fishermen just by lying in your bed! An unforgettable experience! The owners Anna and Dino are very helpful, they do their outmost to help you and are incredibly discrete. We spent two weeks there and really recommend it to anybody who wants a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. Carla andCarlo
Hotel Arhontiko Apartments was moderate to good in general. It has a very good price - quality ratio but it also has issues in part of the benefits to the customer. It is located to the west side of the island at Foiniki (a beutiful village by the sea) but it is far from Pigadia ( harbour - main town) so you must have a vehicle. No food markets at Foiniki (even a small one). They are located to the next village Arkasa at 2km distance (at least till august 2015). + View. Cleanliness. Comfortable room. Wi-Fi. A / C. Refrigerator. Spacious bathroom. - Small balcony. Old Tv. Insufficient soundproofing. Lack of hot water in the mornings. No payment with cards. Lack of permanent staff in the reception.
I reserved this location through Bookings.com and had a Booking confirmation. When we arrived there the owners told us Sorry, we have no more rooms available. Alone, in a foreign Country, with no knowledge of the language and/or mentality, was certainly not the best experience.
I have been in this nice family hotel for 15 days, from 22 July to 06 August 2015. I stayed with my wife and my 7 years old daughter. We had a nice apartment on the top with a fantastic sightseeing on the small port and beach of Finiki, the best place to eat fish in Karpathos. Apartments are well equipped, very clean and wide. You do not suffer from hot weather even when outside is 32 degrees. You can reach the small beach down there in 50 seconds. In Finiki there are no minimarkets. Just taverns and restaurants. But that's the feature that make the place so heavenly beautiful. In case one does not want to appreciate the place for long, Finiki is the right place from which to travel around the island. You can rent a car in Arkasa (2km from Finiki) and discover whatever in beach in the island. What i most appreciated is Ann (the owner) willingness to help you in whatever you need. Even if each summer we plan to go in a different island, I am very tempted to go back in this nice place. I sincerously recommend it.
We stayed here for a week and liked it very much. When we arrived, we were welcomed with drinks, pastries and fruit right away and the owner was lovely and helpful throughout our whole stay. The room was clean, airy and calm, with a nice little balcony and air condition (which we didn't need, though, because despite the heat, the room was organized so that it was airy enough without any extra ac help). I would definitely come back.
For our last night in Karpathos we wanted to stay closer to the airport, and someone had given us the tip of the fresh fish in Finiki. This hotel (one of three at the main road) seemed deserted at first, but then someone arrived and showed us a few rooms. Our choice was easy. A corner apartment with windows in three directions and a large terrace facing the sea sold for a very reasonable price. The fish down in the village was a good deal, too.
Thid dmsll hotel i situated in a small hill overlooking Finiki harbour, village, the little beach and the great aegan sea. All the roomes have balconies, and the views are spectacular - especially from the top floor. Rooms are spacious, and equipped also for self catering. The little minimarket that used to be in Finiki, is unfortunatly closed, and you have to go to Arkasa (apx 1.5 km) to do your shopping. It is my second stay here, and just as the last time, the room is really spotless on arrival. The whole hotel is so well kept, and so clean everywhere - and when you enter through the main entrace, you see directly to the little, white, greek chuch on the hiss in front of the sea. The hostess is very friendly, and offers to drive me to Pigadia or Arkasa sice I have no rental car and need to go to the supermarket, and also find an ATM. The only ATMs are in Pigadia / Karpathos city, and there is none at the airport either, so you need to bring cach here. The hotel does not accept credit cards, same as the tavernas etc. There is a 100 meters walk to the beach and the village. The beach is small, but well suited for everyone. There are steps from the hotel down to the village, and also many steps at the hotel, so therefor not so suited for people with walking difficulties. Right now I`m watching the last colours of the sunset from my balcony, as the island of Tassos fades away in the colouful mist. This hotel, and room number three, and Finiki, is just perfect for my quiet holliday:-)
