[SEASONAL: IRONMAN 2026 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - REMOVE AFTER 2026-10-12]

Mauna Lani sits directly on the Ironman bike course. Queen Kaahumanu Highway runs the length of this stretch of the Kohala Coast, and race week turns the road into a training ground for weeks before October 10, then a managed course on race day itself. Expect rolling traffic controls during the bike leg, and build the roughly 40-minute drive to Kailua-Kona into your morning if you're heading down to watch. The trade-off for the distance from town is quiet - fewer crowds, easier parking, a coastline still calm after the athletes pass. Hawaii stays of 6 nights or more include a complimentary rental car for the trip down to the finish line lights.

[END SEASONAL: IRONMAN 2026]
