I stayed here for work for a considerable period of time. The staff were amazing! Exceptional service that made me feel like I was part of the family. The rooms are well fitted. Loved the comfy beds and open balcony to sit and relax after a long day. The buffet breakfast was great. Loved the special touches to the evening menu by the Philipino Chef. Adobo is my favourite dish and you surprised me one night with a beautiful pork adobo to die for. Thankyou Ibis Styles. You are definitely my hotel of choice in Kal!
Arrived in Western Australia the weekend of the massive rain storm. Our plans had us driving from Fremantle to Kalgoorlie where we were booked into the Ibis Styles Hotel. Initially there was a problem with our booking but that was quickly sorted. The hotel has recently been refurbished. Room was spacious and very comfortably furnished. The bar and restaurant had most welcoming staff who worked to ensure we had a great few days. Strongly recommend
You know it is nothing 5 star but very very comfortable and the staff are lovely- just check on the breakfast options. You think you have it covered and you need to spend more!! You can actually walk around the corner to relish and get an amazing breakfast!!!
The ibis styles is clean and neat. It is funky in its Art Deco style which makes fun. Suggest where they have guaranteed bookings they should turn on aircon for guests. With no aircon in guest hallways the room took a good while to cool from the hot day. Booking got messed up and had to ask for correct room which was to be fair sorted happily and graciously. Good pool from the look of it. Continental brekkie satisfactory without being startling. Do not leave town without viewing the huge open cut mine
Not a bad stop over, rooms are large and plenty of space to move around in. I got in late and left very early so I am note sure I am qualified to put up a review. I enjoyed the central location, the bed is comfortable, all the mod cons, great shower after a long day travelling. My only comment would be that my room was located near the lift and therefore my sleep was distracted by the noice it generated in the early hours of the evening until traffic slowed. I had the early morning breakfast prior to leaving and found staff helpful.
For a family of 5, found the staff very accommodating was able to get 2 rooms adjoined at a discount price, comfy beds, lots of amenities, pool was unheated but refreshing, pool towels provided, wide range of food to choose from for the continental breakfast, wifi unlimited only hiccup was a few stained towels which was quickly remedied. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
The Ibis Styles in Kalgoorlie makes you feel very welcome. I had a very good, three day stay. The staff are friendly and cheery and nothing is too much trouble. From the check-in to check-out, all was handled promptly and with no fuss. The rooms are more than comfortable and have everything that the business person needs. The meals in the restaurant are also very good along with a good selection of drinks as well. The Ibis is great value for money and well worth the stay. I look forward to next time.
Reception staff were welcoming, knowledgeable about local attractions etc and the hotel was clean. The restaurant served good food and the continental breakfast was plentiful. A beautiful pool to use in the heat of the day. Close walk to the centre of town.
We stayed two nights at this hotel, and were very happy with our room. It was large, well appointed with a comfortable bed, good wifi, and a good sized TV. The bathroom was functional, with good plumbing, plenty of hot water and sufficient toiletries. We would stay here again if we were to return to Kalgoorlie.
We spent a couple of nights at the Ibis Styles Kalgoorlie in mid-October before heading through the Great Central Road. One of the points of our drive around Australia was to see Kalgoorlie and its Super Pit, cause it is awesome (see the review for that) plus the fact that there is such a big town with so much going on way out here practically in the middle of nowhere is awesome. We were thrilled to be in Kalgoorlie (how many people can say that) and since we love the Ibis properties that we have stayed at in the past, it seemed logical that we stay at this one before heading out into the wilderness for a week of camping and roughing it. The hotel is well maintained, rooms were fairly clean, maybe an extra once over with a vacuum or mop would be better but nothing to chirp about. Friendly staff, quiet nights sleep, some vehicle noise early in the morning but my earplugs blocked a lot of that and the continental breakfast was adequate and included in the price. We would definitely stay here again, Ibis wins again!
