Booking site advises reception is open to 10pm. Letter of welcome advises check-in/ reception open until 10pm but when we arrived at 9:30 pm the doors were locked and luckily husband noticed a letterbox with our name on an envelope with entry cards. Admittedly they did try to ring but on the Kalgoorlie train which has very limited wifi and phone range. I managed to leave a message and they received my emailed check-in. They tried to ring me back but instead of leaving a message telling me that they had left the access cards near the door in a box they hung up. I was ringing the phone near the door which no one answered until my husband saw the box containing cards. Please change you reception times on your sites and information.

Overall a good stay but disappointed at checking in. We had requested the sofa bed to be ready with linen in the room to make up the bed. On check in there was no knowledge of this and we had to sort it ourselves as housekeeping had gone for the day. We were told we should have contacted them prior……. I did!! Back in September!!!

Although staff were friendly there was no help offered. My friend and I are elderly and I had to struggle to get our luggage up to our room with a trolley through the heavy glass doors that I had to try to keep open to get the trolley inside the hotel. When leaving I called down to reception and asked if someone could bring the trolley up for us but was told “we can’t do that “, so I once again had to struggle to get the luggage down. Disappointing.

Great location close to everything. The hotel is in very good condition given the age of the building. Parking was safe and secure for our stay. Rose at reception was extremely helpful and we would definitely stay again if we are back to Kalgoorlie
