We stayed there for 2nights.. the staff there were really helpful.. giving us direction to all the key areas.. surprisingly everything is not to far from the hotel.. clean rooms and satisfactory breakfast .. what more can you ask for
The highlight of our stay ( 11 rooms for 2 nights) is the very friendly and service orientated staff at the citrus cafe. I like to mention in particular Mr Wan the waiter who is so good to the guests. He make sure we were happy and service is comes with a smile. This man is an asset to your hotel. Other comment is that the bath towels are very old and do not look white after many washing. All up, this hotel is value for money.
Great management & hotel-there was a welcome note with a fruit platter when we checked in.Fantastic location, reflected by professional & friendly staff, tidy rooms & many facilities around the hotel such as shopping malls, salon, Singapore customs, good massage, variety of food to enjoy. Sumptuous breakfast & Lunch was excellent with lots of variety. The lounge was awesome to chill & relax.
I had a get together with the family in October. We took 5 rooms and all of us had a terrific stay. Their Club Lounge on the 11th Floor is a gem with a Pool Table and a Laptop for guests. Our interaction with all the staff was so pleasant that is important that we mention a few names like Ms. Linda from the Reception, Mr. Dinesh from the Lounge, Mr. Arjun from the Cafe. Their staff are well trained and they made our trip worth while.
Recently booked for a family room with Booking.com for two nights. Difficult location to find with dirty dodgy surrounding streets. Definitely will not recommend for family trips. Finally arrived and credit card has been charged RM530 for 2 nights prior to arrival, which is very expensive in relative to other surrounding hotel. Advertised as RM460 on booking.com as excluding 6% tax and 10% "service charge". Proceeded to the room to find the family room to be in a shocking condition. -mouldy toilet -brown bedsheets -torn beddings -mouldy corners -smelly dusty carpet -able to hear clear conversation from the next room -leaky air-cond unit See attached pictures. This is SUPPOSEDLY a 4 star hotel. Complete lies. On Booking.com, the hotel page emphazised on pictures of surrounding shopping malls. Decided for the sake of safety and health to check out and the hotel refused to give refund for the 2nd night. I understand and willing to pay for the first night but hotel were not happy to consider refund for 2nd night. THE ONLY GOOD THING was the frontdesk staff kept apologising although nothing was done.
It was a one night stay, so I don't mind several things... The hotel could be reached via end of City Square Mall (cross a small road, or take the overhead bridge and cross a lane). The room looked smaller and more aged than in picture. Toilet was ok/decent size. Some amenities were provided - soap, big toilet. The staffs were friendly. When we first checked in, the TV is not working. We asked if we could change and managed to get a similar room in maybe 30min. We went to the Club Lounge. There was a pool table, some sofa etc.. but the snacks were pathetic - only lemon biscuits and some sandwich. I did not dare eat the sandwich. Some soft drinks/tea/coffee were available upon request. Security/management is a crucial point, which they did not handle well. At close to midnight, someone opened our door. Luckily I had the door latched! And I shouted. So the person left. I was not wearing my glasses so I did not know who. Subsequently, the reception called to confirm my booking! But no apologies or explanation was made over the phone, or upon check out. I suspected this could be due to the change of room but was not captured in their system. (Imagine if someone have entered into room while we were away!!) If I have not encountered the security issue, I would have come back...
Very good ventilation, good location, friendly service. We appreaciate Security Zainnuddin, Counter Staff Badazmi, Lawrence and also the room service staff for their excellent service which make our stay a happy one.
It was a good location, just across the street from larkin bus station and a huge shopping mall. Staff were helpful, room was spacious but a little dirty. We are backpackers so carry a bed sheet liner, unfortunately we had to use it in this hotel as the sheet was a little dirty. Other than that, can’t fault it too much. They need a good clean on the windows though!!
The room quite big. Bathroom is bug too. First come, my uncle bathroom is smells, we complain and the staff very helpfull. He help to clean bathroom immediately. Very near JB sentral. Only across the street. Near city mall. Near indian food stall. No worries for food
- Have staying for a month. I have a great entertainment experience in Citrus Hotel. The friendliness and professionality of management make all difference. - It is located just 2 minutes to City Square Mall by crossing opposite bridge safely,and easily can reach Custom Check Point by walking inside of Mall. And near Train station and (KTM) cozy place... safe place. - Rooms are comfortable, decoration is quite petite pleasant, reliable. Have hot water always. Gym is available 8 to 8, on the top floor.must try. If any problem ask them they are well-built can solve problem with their 24 hours staff. - Give thanks, especially Manager Jaswin, Security, and Reception. - I will definitely stay here if come johor bahru again.
