My wife and I stayed here for one night after a long flight from the UK before we travelled to Kruger National park. The room was spacious and had all the usual amenities. The grounds are lovely to walk around with lots of beautiful bird life. We had an evening meal at the Chief Boma restaurant and it was really impressive. Very cheap but the variety of food on offer was excellent. A great opportunity to try some of the more exotic dishes like wilder beast, impala, kurdu and crocodile. Very friendly and helpful staff. A nice relaxing place to stay to recharge your batteries after a long flight.
The hotel is huge with and very "green" with huge trees etc. You will experience issues with food if you eat halaal or vegetarian as there is cross contamination in he kitchens. Ample and safe parking spaces. Location very good. Rooms are neat but not enough plugs. Difficult for me to charge my laptop, cell phone or use my hair iron. only one accessible plug.
Stayed for one night, found the staff very friendly and polite. Nice setting. Rooms comfortable. Food was nice. Complex easy to get about. The boma had a good selection of food at the buffet, hot & cold.
Outside Johannesburg centre but very pleasant garden setting with lots of foliage and birds whistling away, even though it is not far from a main road. Rooms are dotted about the site with their own gardens and connected to the main building by meandering paths. Main patio area has a nicely laid out bar and restaurant. A small pool is available too. Loved all the thatched roofs and colonial feel to the whole place. Room was nice and big and very clean. Nice big bed and powerful shower. Room also had a safe. Liked the elephant towel on the bed. Too far from the attractions but if you have transport no problem. Site has a Spa and separate restaurant. Pleasant staff and good service.
The Spa/Dinner/Stay-Over is a fabulous treat for the whole family. The rooms are lovely, the pool and grounds are well maintained and the setting is very conducive to relaxation. The dinner is excellent. Loved the variety and quality! The Spa treatments from the 54 therapists dedicated to your individual treatments are fabulous - and we all enjoyed very much!! They just need to sort out the porter service - which is under-staffed at peak, resulting in non-answered phones, unresponded requests and queues for transport. But it's a minor irritant compared to how good the remainder is!!
Great, great, great! My boyfriend and I booked the African Escape Spa & Stay for 2 - absolutely blew us away. Thank you to The Indaba Hotel & Mowana Spa for treating us like VIP's! It was absolutely memorable and you'll definitely be seeing us again.
This was an extraordinary experience for my Husband & I. You dont feel like you are in JHB at all. Best treatment ever. Relaxed, friendly, welcoming environment. The food, drinks, treatments, sleep arrangements etc. was all well worth the money!
Had a lovely stay there with the entire family; superb customer service from reception to restaurant staff. nice and clean rooms. Boma Restaurant with a terrific breakfast buffet! kids friendly place, ideal for functions.
Everything was perfect and beyond. There is nothing further to add. This is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. My family and I love it beyond measure. Maybe in the near future you should have a special for accommodation and spa together.
The place is very big. There are a lot of rooms and conference halls which are top notch. The location is good close to decent shopping complexes. The corridors were not super clean though. Some rooms are far from parking.
