Staff should be able to show the guest the rooms on check in and further indicate facilities that are available, entire staff improvement needs attention, maybe they are too used to the workplace but they need to be on point.
Thank you we had a short but lovely stay and made very special with the flower petals on the bed for my husband's birthday as well as a personalized letter, very thoughtful indeed! Breakfast was out of this world and a huge selection!
The hotel is great. Nice staff, wonderfull breakfast, great location. Loved staying there and I would everyone advice to stay there. Just make sure you have a SA bank account, because for me as a Dutch guy it was nearly impossible to make a reservation, becuase I had to pay in advance. Therfore the wanted my pasport and my creditcard sent to them via mail (I had to scan front and back of my pasport and creditcard) this is of course NOT DONE! I hope the hotel finds a way for tourists to make a reservation without loosing my personal and financial privacy.
It was excellent experience. We will definitely come back. Please just make sure that other patrons or guests staying in the hotel abide by the rules, such as no noise in the corridors and rooms, just to be considerate of the others. Otherwise we had a splendid time at Indaba and Mowana Spa.
Im very disappointed with my stay so far check in was at 14:00 and when we got here our room was not ready we had to wait for 30min. On top of that everyone that came after us got there room . In a hotel if the person that came first room is not ready u swop the rooms around so that the first person get a room and than no one will wait. I asked for a bottle of sparkling wine or bubbly when I made the resevation and there is nothing in the room unless it will be done later when I go for supper, its my anniversary and I didnt expect this kind of service. The room is lovely bit small but I can live with that . Im just not happy with the service. Its my first time staying here but had good reviews thats why I chose to sat here. I hope my stay gets better. Regards suzette
The rooms are small but adequate, clean and pleasant and I loved the way the towels were folded like an elephants head - very clever! The surroundings are very beautiful - lovely peaceful garden with lots of birdlife - even heard a peacock calling, there is an adequate gym, two swimming pools, wedding venue, and plenty of conference rooms. The food served at tea time and lunch, dinner and breakfast were all sumptious. I don't think I have ever seen such a variety of food offered and dinner was particularly special because all the staff were dressed in traditional garb, there was a marimba band playing, and the sounds of bullfrogs from the dam right next to the open fronted restaurant and pub. Food was delicious - perhaps even too many choices!
I had a Great say very peaceful. The meals were delightful with no limits. I will do the say again with out blinking an eye. The discription on the web site is 100% accurate. The only negative was some of the drinks were over priced
My partner and I enjoyed a complimentary stay at the Indaba Hotel, followed with a good dinner at the Chefs Boma, and a nice breakfast before departing . The setup of the suite was amazing , super clean and very welcoming . It was really a home away from home . We really had a comfortable stay and will definitely be back to stay in the suite again.
I was pleasantly surprised with this Hotel. Although old it is still neat and well kept. The rooms are spacious. The spa treatments were good and relaxing if you don’t mind the shared process. Really worth the money
As a result of a previous Tripadvisor rating of Indaba, we were contacted by Sharon Thom, who kindly offered us a Complimentary night with Indaba, including Dinner at Chief's Boma and Buffet Breakfast. My previous rating was my honest account and therefor this will also be an honest account of our stay (not at all influenced by the kind gesture of Indaba Hotel). Firstly, thank you to Sharon Thom, Adriaan van der Westhuizen and Crystal Muller, who handled the Reservation and the friendly and speedy manner in which they gave feedback and our confirmation of Reservation. Also, a big thank you for the complimentary wine and snack box on arrival, it was appreciated. Our check-in was speedy and we were welcomed with a friendly smile. Our Reservation was on hand and this ensured that we could check in straight away. The room we stayed in was luxurious, spacious and beautifully decorated. I was in awe with the large mirror (definitely a décor memory I’d like to incorporate in our home). The colours in grey and silver used in the room reminds me of an era gone by, luxurious and beautiful. I loved the large bathroom and big shower and always appreciate space. The old photos used for décor takes one back in history. The mattress is of excellent quality and ensured a good night rest. Having a coffee capsule machine in the Room is a big plus point, thank you, this is that extra touch I enjoy! We enjoyed our Supper at Chief’s Boma and as this was our 1st visit, we were surprised by the many dishes. The “Chief” himself was extremely friendly and entertaining. The live music was enjoyed. Every dish my husband and I tried, we enjoyed and we can highly recommend this Restaurant. I enjoyed the fact that local dishes were the main focus and that Venison featured too. Also, who can resist a Malva Pudding with Custard? Being a local, this is still one of our favorite desserts. The wine list featured excellent wines. After a good night’s sleep, we enjoyed a very hearty breakfast buffet. The fruit was fresh, the selection of yoghurts great and it was a first for me to use a self help pancake machine, crumpets delivered warm and fresh. I loved the option of crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and a croissant. I was happy to see Kippers and the fresh fish was well prepared. My husband enjoyed the offer of Lamb sausage, Pork sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs with beans. Fresh juice is always appreciated. The waitress was quick to offer tea and/or coffee and this is a plus, as I’m a coffee person, who enjoys a cup of fresh brewed coffee first thing in the morning. Indaba, will most certainly see us in the near future and we’ll be sure to then book for SPA treatments too, as Mowana Spa is situated on Indaba’s grounds, we just didn’t get time to incorporate the SPA this time around. THANK YOU INDABA, you feature at the top of our memorable stays.
