Overall a nice place and no issues. A few things need attention; like the old rusted/broken chair on the patio and junk piled in the corner. Realty company was quick to bring a spatula and tongs that were MIA. Beach set up was left for us on time and was a big bonus. Nice pool with good sun shade covering part of it ! Nice short walk to Driftwood Beach. Overall a nice stay if you are a Jekyll Beach goer.

Close to driftwood beach

Excellent location for us. Condo was all we needed for our time. Condo could use some paint and a bit of refreshing, otherwise good.

Beautiful island, dirty condo

The condition of the rental property was hugely disappointing. We have stayed in numerous places but this is the first time that we had to clean a rental property upon arrival because it was dirty. We attempted to call the rental property management and never received a call back we ended up having to go into their main office to speak to someone. Jekyll Island was beautiful and wonderfully relaxing in, but I would not recommend renting a property from Jekyll Realty.

Enjoyed!

The property was very clean and comfortable. Love that you can walk to Driftwood beach and Driftwood Bistro. Unfortunately, the refrigerator ceased to work the day we arrived, but the property managers took care of it right away. Replaced the old with a new one. I would definitely return to this property again. I just hope next time we don't have to cut our stay short because of another hurricane like Ian!!!

Disappointed at first

Upon arrival we were given a cracked key card that would not open the door, so someone from maintenance had to come open the door for us. After unloading luggage and further inspection, we found dust an inch think on the bathroom vent fan, Sheetrock pulling a loose from the wall, mildew around the ac vents in a few rooms, food and trash left on the bedroom floor & that even at low tide you could not sit on the beach in front of the unit! This unit needs to be deep cleaned & updated!! We had to stay 2 nights because the rental company was closed on Sundays. Once Monday morning came I went down to the rental office and they were kind enough to move us to a much nicer place.

The property was clean, accessible and convenient. The only issue is when it’s high tide, and for hours surrounding high tide, there is no beach.

Perfect location within The Villas. Easy beach access. Kitchen area could use a little updating, but otherwise no real complaints. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place for the money.

Not your fault but the week before the tropical storm damaged the steps to the point they were useless to get to the water & beach.. We had to walk a long ways or just drive to get to a useable beach.

Marginal At Best

The best thing going for this unit is its location on the beach. (Note: A barrier of boulders separates the ocean from the shore behind this unit, so there is no sand upon which to recreate. Rather, there is a bridge over the boulders that leads directly into the ocean. Guests will have to go to a different location to enjoy a day relaxing on the sand.) Pros: - Location - Fitness facility — It is small, but it gets the job done. - Management — Jekyll Realty was responsive and easy to contact. - View - This location is great to catch beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Cons: - Cleanliness — Crumbs were found in drawers; floors were sandy; and dishes were left in dishwasher upon arrival - Dated furnishing — Saggy sofa cushions were uncomfortable; overhead light in master bedroom ceiling fan was inoperable separate from the fan

2021 Vacation

The property was well equipped with everything you need, including boogie boards and beach umbrella. The beach umbrella sure did help us get out of the sun when needed. The only downside was the big boulders when there was high tide, but we went to the beach access a mile down the road and had a great time. We highly recommend the Villas by the Sea.

Beautiful Island

We enjoyed the Island and this condo was very clean and we had a nice view of boats and sea birds in the water even saw many dolphins pass by behind the shrimp boat while standing in the kitchen making lunch. What a treat.
