Nice quiet location, clean, good hot water and internet. Hospitality staff very friendly with great service. Dinner and breakfast very tasty. Pleasant pool side ambience, not suitable for lap swimming
Suryaa Villa is my favorite hotel in Jaipur. Its an all round excellent hotel, quaint, quite and clean with wonderful owners, staff and amazing food! I will always choose Suryaa when I visit Jaipur and hope to be back soon.
We recently stayed at this hotel and the only saving grace was the service from Abhijay. Will start with the positives.. after checkout had forgotten and left my credit card at the front desk. Abhijay had tried reaching me via whatsapp but because of coverage issues I didnt get the message until much later in the day. I then asked him to just discard the card as I had called the issuing bank to cancel that particular card. The breakfast was quite tasty but the spread was very minimal. Now more important things.. First of all, this hotel is located in a tiny/narrow alley that is very easy to miss. And once we reached the hotel, there was lot of construction/repair work going on in the front which made it very messy and dusty. The front desk is very unimpressive looks like a cavernous old warehouse with an old desk and few chairs. They ask you to sign an 'old ledger' with your personal details and there is no privacy whatsoever. Could be a bit more welcoming! We had reserved 2 rooms and we were very disappointed/unimpressed with the rooms. The main room was right next to the restaurant and there was no privacy. There was this poor/medium thick curtain which we still felt inadequate. The bathroom door had a BIG gap even after the person bolted it from inside (see picture where one could see right through!). The top half of the door was covered with glass which was very transparent. The bottom half of the door was busted up and they had just 'boarded it up' without caring to paint it properly. All very cheap in the name of 'heritage'. Had left my jeans on top of my carry on over night and next morning when I woke up the jeans was all wet !! I realized later that the air conditioning unit was dripping water big time! We happened to have dinner outside - so can't comment about dinner. True, I wasn't expecting a 5 star property but the rates they charge for this property for the pathetic room is outrageous!! Try other places.
Stayed at this gem of a place for 3 nights. Needless to say I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Not only was the building absolutely beautiful, but the family and staff were so welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. One of my favorite things about my stay was the swimming pool and the food. Everything was made fresh and tasted absolutely delicious. All in all, Suryaa Villa is a place overflowing with character. I loved every part of my experience here and would not change anything about it. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a welcoming, warm atmosphere with amazing food and a beautifully stunning place.
We stayed at Suryaa Villa for 1 night during a recent visit to Jaipur. The property is conveniently located in the heart of the city and has an old world charm to it. The restaurant area, pool, terraces are beautifully decorated and suitably recreate the grand ambience and aura of an era gone by. The rooms are tastefully done up. The food was amazing specially the Laal Maas is very authentic in taste. The staff were courteous and prompt. Overall it was an amazing experience, will keep on visiting the hotel.
This is the second time i visited Surya villa and it was a beautiful experience yet again, reasonably central to everything, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and well maintained, very comfortable rooms with an indian old world charm, reminded me of the marigold hotel. the staff was very attentive and looked after us like family. i would definitely put this place on every person's itinerary to stay at.
A fabulous hotel set just 10 min drive away from old town Jaipur. The hotel is beautifully decorated with each room having its own hand painted ceilings. It's more of a comfortable boutique hotel. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety and was extremely delicious. We had dinner twice at the in-house restaurant and the food was amazing, not to forget the Lal Maans (Lamb Curry) highly recommended. The hotel offers free pick up from the train station as well. Thank you Suryaa Villa for the lovely hospitality.
Last week I had the distinct pleasure of staying a couple of nights at this amazing hotel. My stay was absolutely perfect. The hotel had kind, courteous, and professional staff, to the meticulous, spacious and comfortable rooms and common areas. My experience was nothing less than exceptional. A true example of great hospitality.
We have booked family suite for 13-14th August for 4 friend, we were there around 2 pm, but still they have not clean our room, we have to wait around half and hour to enter our room, its terrible for us to wait--- front desk staff was not professional and cant handle the customer in a polite way. room Fridge was dirty and some old food was there, we have to call room service to keep it clean, Tea-coffee maker was dirty and uncleaned, we have informed him and they have only faulty cattle in stock, after fourth attempt we were able to get perfect tea/coffee maker. Breakfast was not up to mark, there was very few choice and we cant say that its a 3 star hotel buffet... there was no room service for night. property was good, location was good, room was clean but poor management were trying to destroy the beautiful property. overall it was not a pleasant stay for us.
Great, quite place to stay away from main areas. Good food from restaurant and friendly service. Lots of outdoor communal spaces to relax. Good size clean rooms. Breakfast had an OK selection to choose from.
