Love the swimming pool, breakfast and the bikes!

The pool was not heated. Hot tub was great, but the area around it was not very nice. Our beds, sheets, pillows were great the bath and shower area were not maintained well.

Could be better .. reception young lady was pleasant thank you

Close to beach and great heated pool! Great place for kids! Front desk staff was wonderful!

The staff made the trip easy with text message communication throughout my stay and easy check in and check out options.

Had to pay extra for amenities but not available when we needed them

I liked the new bedding. But thought the rest of the building needed updated.

This property is most a $45 /night motel, not a $200 per night hotel.

Light bulb out (2). No coffee maker. Amenity fee negative. I don't play tennis or volley ball or drink. Desk staff both excellent and efficient.

Even with following the hotels own policies for checking back into a room reserved the previous night and having received new keys, our belongings were removed from our room, some belongings were thrown out and upper staff were dismissive and unapologetic.

The only redeeming facet of this property is the close proximity to the beach. Other than that, the room was dirty; the walls were not sound proofed (we could here everything outside not to mention the neighbors snoring at night;) the continental breakfast consisted of a bland orange and prepackaged muffin in a brown paper bag. There's more.....

I have a 16 year career in luxury hospitality, but like to camp. I didn't realize camping on the beach was no longer permitted, so booked this last minute. The reviews were so bad, I read them as entertainment the night before we stayed. I brought disinfectant wipes, tilex and windex to the room, and cleaned first thing. The room was so clean! ZERO dust on the rags and wipes, I've literally never seen this, not at hotels 3 and 4 times the price. We did the remote key check in after a long day. They sent 3 or 4 texts saying we had to do this in order to access the room. Get there, it doesn't work and I call the front desk, the system doesn't work and they had to issue hard keys. They should have the ability to disable the texts when the system goes down. That was frustrating. The front office staff on Saturday evening could have acknowledged me or been friendly or even slightly apologetic about the key situation (I went to go check in the old fashioned way before getting the cell phone key, but I tried downloading the cell phone key again while in the lobby, and it worked, so i then went to the room, then the downloaded key didn't work and had to go back to the front desk). I say get rid of the cell phone app until you can work the bugs out. Between having to register on the app before checking in and then the back and forth, the check in process was about an hour. However, all was made well to get into a clean, newly renovated room. Thanks!

The bathroom was disgusting. When I called the desk and asked to speak to management they said no one from management was in and to email pics. The email would never go through. There was muddy handprints all over the shower and bathroom, hair all over the walls. Just nasty. Room 220. They sent a house keeper and she cleaned the dirt off the back of the door and the tub but she didn’t do any of the walls she was in such a rush. Beds and towels were clean but pillows are the size of couch throw pillows. I have stayed in nicer accommodations in second world countries with no running water..... do not recommend.

Overall we liked the hotel and everything was as expected. It was conveniently located very close to the beach. 5 mins drive to historic downtown. We travelled with dogs and it was an affordable option for us. The hotel is clean, the pool is well maintained. I would not call it a "resort" though (the resort charge is the same amount as in Westin) but this charge was expected. We would stay there again.

Ocean Coast is a decent resort. Pool and inside rooms were fine. As described by others, outside needs some updates/old. Did have issue with basketball usage. It was locked on a Sunday and apparently maintenance off. However within an hour, it was opened. Was disappointed that a request for a later check out could not be honored. In general the hotel suited our purpose and the location is great. Would likely stay again.

Hello Bill, Our Pool and Hot Tub are open all day and close at 10 pm for the safety of our guests. The Beach Chairs, Wagons, and Bikes are available during daylight hours which is currently approx. 8am to 8pm. These are standard hours of operation, and aside from occasional inclement weather temporarily closing, these hours have been maintained.
