I was very excited to visit Ixtapa, but the staff at the hotel were not as welcoming as in other hotels. They did not help with my luggage even though my room was in the 3rd floor and no elevator is available. The room needs to be updated and it was apparent the floor was not swept for the fact that there was sand and long hairs on the floor. The breakfast provided at the hotel was very yummy and authentic. The hotel is in a great location, just wished the owners or management would really take a look at how the staff interacts with the guests to make it a more positive welcoming feel.

Hotel is friendly gorgeous place on the beach with a perfect spot overlooking Zihuatanejo

We love Hotel Irma. The staff is amazing! I am so glad local friends advised us to stay there. Everyone attempts English and will coach you a little in Spanish if you'd like. They are knowledgeable about the area and share that if asked. It is located on a cliff so the view is amazing. It is a 10-15 minute walk to town, if you feel inclined to go out to eat (but why when the food is so good in the dining room?) We can go down the stairs to the beach in front or walk 10 minutes to an even better beach. The rooms are simple but clean. The staff creates cute towel animals or flowers to bring a smile when you are tired out from your relaxing. We felt so comfortable returning and can't wait 'till our next visit.

We have stayed at Hotel are my four times that says it all

The staff is excellent, efficient and friendly. Love the decor. Great pools. Just hope the new building next door doesn't affect the view.

It was clean and the staff friendly and accommodating - what else could I possibly want or need!?!

I made good desition choosing this hotel. I will come back.

Best hotel in Zihua, great location and very helpful and friendly staff. Great ocean view rooms and so as the infinity pool.

Stay here twice a year and it's always a good experience

We arrived after 3 days of hard motorcycle riding down the coast. I booked here because it offered free breakfast in the price yet when we arrived they said it wasn't included. This isn't the first time hotels have offered breakfast in their price on line yet the confirmation email you use when checking in says nothing about it and they won hon or it. I suggest you get screen shots of their special offers before booking as proof when checking in. So, we paid full price for breakfast and we were not disappointed, service and food was terrific! They have 2 large pools, great lounge area with staff to satisfy your wishes. Wifi is only in lobby and even then slow, with lots of people trying to get work done. Hotel also offered free parking, though they only have maybe 5 spots, luckily we were able to park there. We would have left if we had to park our motorcycle down the street. It's located on a very steep road, if you have mobility problems taxis will be your only option. There seemed to be plenty of rooms but we were given a small badly lit room along a major noisy walkway. I was disappointed after reading others reviews. I should have chosen my second and cheaper choice for lodging which was farther down the hill and so less walking. Location was in a very nice clean area of town with great views. As for the town....loved it!! We met lots of great people, fellow expats and snowbirds. We can't wait to return and plan to stay longer next time.

Hotel is good for the money but overall I would have rather stayed at Villa Mexicana for the few extra dollars. Playa La Ropa is much nicer than Playa Madera and it is much better walking because Hotel is on the beach where it is flat. The hill on which Irma sits is a killer. You must walk up or down as hotel is in the middle. It was in the 90's every day there so I couldn't walk anywhere from the hotel without breaking into an intense sweat. We would cab to Villa Mexicana and spend the days there anyway and that was great. Food and liquor service is also better at VM. Not sure about Wi-Fi at VM, but Irma had it only in lobby and it was poor at that. Overall I would have been happier on Playa La Ropa.

they allways make me feel like family could not ask for more for the money

Rooms were very clean and the staff was great. The staff always seemed to try hard to please you. Coffee in the rooms or available somewhere in the hotel for early raisers would have been nice.

For all your needs, Irma is so good. If you are used to 5 Star Michelin rated places, you will not be happy here. If you like staff that works their butts off, treats you like family and runs a clean and relaxed operation, this is your place. Gorgeous views, kind staff, excellent breakfasts and happy hour. They even have a great Club Sandwich. Cool breezes bathe the rooms and patio, the pools are refreshing and every night, a perfect sunset!

this place makes you feel like family. once you go you be going back for years

Stay was okay. No internet in rooms. Staff was nice. Good location. No chairs in room.

Very nice. Staff was great. View of the bay and town was beautiful. Weather was great. Hotel clean

view at the sea and mountains, nice pool, I would work on the bathroom amenities

Was a wonderful vacation, Lots of lovely beaches in the area. Outstanding food at many restaurants. Helpful staff. The view is spectacular.

Beautiful views, quiet, unpretentious with a lovely staff to meet all your needs. More umbrellas pool side would have been appreciated especially when trying to find some shade.
