This review could be very short - go for it, it is definitely worth it. We spent a prolonged weekend in 2016, we have had a really great time. The hotel is very very comfortable, the rooms are spacious, decent and stylish equiped, the staff is really charming and absolutely helpful. Beach is treated very well. Because this hotel is little bit in the midle of nowhere /what makes the stay very relaxing on the other hand and I dont feel it negative/, we took a trip to Umag and rented a boat to see the coast. We will be back for longer.

It was wonderful! Great staff, speaks all languages, very kind. Breakfast is very good. Only it would be better that hotel has direct exit to sea. Spacious bathroom and bedroom. Prices are o.k. on the beach..about 10 euros/aperolspritz

Spent 9 days at the hotel. Medium sized hotel, modern with beautiful fixtures and fittings. Off the beaten track, around 7km from Umag which is the nearer town. Situated on a small hill above a private pebble beach the hotel is perfectly located for those who want family style luxury and a get away from it all break. Rooms are a good size and in beautiful condition. Would recommend one of the wings rather than the main building as the wings are quieter. Take a room with a sea view - its worth the extra cost. One negative - the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and they still charge for parking 14euro a day for an outside spot, 18euro for an underground spot. Large swimming pool, spotless beach and beach, pool service is excellent. Water sports booth on the beach for paddle boards, jet skis etc - full set of options. The staff at the hotel are all so well trained, nothing is too much trouble - they are kind, charming and very helpful. Local places to visit are Piran across the Slovenian border and opposite the hotel on the other side of the sea. Istralandia water park also great, zip lining in Pizan also a good morning activity. This part of Croatia is lovely, the sea is beautiful, the people warm and charming, the prices are good value for money, the countryside is so clean and well kept - defiantly a destination to return to.

It is very very hard to describe how good everything about Kempinski Adriatic actually is. For us this is a special place that exceeds all our very very high expectations and standards everytime we come. In last 2 years we have been at Kempinski Adriatic over 10x and everytime we come back which is very often it is another great experience. I would suggest to upgrade to Suite level when doing a booking and we found that Suite with view inside of Istria works best. You still get the partial view of the coast and sea but you can see amazing countryside and green Istria that we prefer. I have to as always mention best Concierge we ever met at any Kempinski hotel mr. Velibor Brkic who has become also our friend that makes all our ideas a reality and always does that extra step to feel special. Also big thank you to Magdalena, Benjamin, Bernard, Ivona, Alan, Bojana, Ana... If you are visiting Croatia or Istria, you cant go wrong with Kempinski Adriatic and if you have ever visited Kempinski St. Moritz you know what I am talking about :)

Most of the rooms faced the Adriatic Sea and enjoyed spectacular view of the hotel pool with the sea in the far distant background. Room was spacious too. We were treated to a lovely welcome dessert. Service staff always had a smile on their faces. Breakfast service staff seemed to remember their guests and guided us towards where the group would normally sit. Great hotel and great staff. I enjoyed the giant pool and jacuzzi very much, especially so during the hot summer month. Guests were mostly dressed casually in summer flip flops, round neck tees and straw hats. There were some walking around in their fitness gear too. Nobody minded a bit. I felt totally at ease. It's a short 300m walk to the beach nearby. Towels were even provided by the hotel for the guests. Some of us rented bikes from the hotel and rode around town. Simple quaint town where most tourists would skip but I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, not crowded with tourists kind of place. Istria is beautiful. We enjoyed dinner in one of the restaurants nearby in a little istria village.

This place is made for upscale tourist families. There is a golf course and ample swimming facilities. The rooms are modern and beautiful. Ours had a great view, The restaurant was not as good as I would expect at such a rich resort. The safe in the room was very erratic in its operation so I did not use it. I would say this is a very good place for a family that wants to enjoy the sun and stay at one place.

This is our second Kempinski. Our first was at Strbske Pleso, in Slovacia. The one from Savudrija is a modern one, near the Adriatic sea. We had a room with sea view and we stayed in the room 132. The room was not very big, but big enough for two adults and an infant with a Travel crib. The hotel offered us a baby crib but we did not needed it, because we had our own Travel crib. Very big bed, but with two mattresses, and one of the two pillows was good, not to soft, not to hard. The bathroom was big, with a bath tub and a distinct cabin shower and a toilet separated by a door. No bidet, but two sinks. Robes and slipers. Nice bath products, even for our baby. We arrived at the hotel sunday and we stayed for 7 nights. The room had, as I said, sea view, but also pool view. That means some noise during the day, but it did not bodered us. The pools area was clean and nice. Two heated small pools and two big pools with no heated water. One pool indoor, very quiet there. The beach is with stones, so you need special slipers. But it is lovely there. You can walk, for about 5 minutes, then you descend some staires and you can use an elevator for the rest of the way or you can walk all the way down. At the pools or at the sea the hotel offeres towels. In the room, every day we received a bottle of complementary water (1l). We asked before ariving for a water boiler (for our baby's formula) and we found one in the room and they write to us, so they were very responsive. The breakfast was good, diversified. The cook/chef who make the omlet or the fried egs in the morning (the tall one) could make an effort and smile. I had the impression that I bodered him. Everyone else was super Ok and nice. Not every morning I found natural yougurt (in a coup, botled), but I asked and every time someone helped us. The coffee could be better. The american coffee tasted not to good, nor the essperesso. At a hotel for me is important a good bed, a good pilow, quiet room, a good breakfast that including an amazing coffee. The latte was better. The major problem that we had was with the live music starting from thursday untill saturday, 19:30 untill 22-23:00. We love music, but when you have a baby that needs to be put to sleep at 20:00, the band singing under your balcony isn't very helpful. As for us, when your kid wakes up at 6:00 a.m. and during the ninght, you also need to go to bed a little bit early. I don't say at 20:30, but 22:00 is decent. So the live music was very disturbing after 21:30. Friday I asked at the restaurant if there will be live music again in the night and because the answer was negative I stayed relaxed. But, surprisingly, in the night, around 19:30, another band played. I went at the reception around 19. After debating the inconvenient, they offered us another room in the east wing of the hotel. When you travel with a baby, it is impossible to move with all the lugage within an hour (at 20:00 we bath her, and then we food her and then sleep). So we have to turned down this offer. I apreciated it, but I'd preffered something else. Music live indoor, putting family with children on east or west wings, starting the music program earlier so it can be finished at a decent hour. This is not a hotel only for adults, so I expected some more understanding regarding the need for silence. If we knew that with the view comes the noise, we would booked a room with a garden/golf view. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is lovely and with a great view, but things can be better.

This is a very modern, beautiful, luxury resort hotel which is probably the best in the area. Upscale families will like it However, I did not find this property worthy of the Kempinski name. Our room was beautiful, but did not have a coffee maker or tea service as promised. Eventually a teakettle was provided the beautiful marble bathroom was very dangerous and slippery when set without any safety bars. The restaurant was a disaster that night. The service was so slow that we left without getting entrees. This was after 3 hours. By the way, people were served all around what was the issue. Other Americans we travelled with had similar issues. The manager said our food was being cooked and be our in a few minutes, but it never came. Strange because the soccer watching bar scene was also served their food. The hotel manager just said they hadn't wedding and was very busy. They offered is a small plate of fruit the next day. Ok Kempinski, if you know you are booked, staff it appropriately. Don't make Americans feel singled out and unwelcomed. I have stayed at other Kempinski properties This one did not measure up. Sorry, I would try small boutique and skip this one

Very confortable hotel I appreciated people working inside. Conciergie gave me a name of very interesting restaurants in surrounding. Breakfast was very full of any kind of food wiyh also gluten free. Very near there is a fabìntastic golf course

Stayed here as part of a tour of Croatia. It is a very big property in the middle of a residential and farmland section so no town to walk to. You are strictly here to relax! The hotel is very large so make sure you know the location of your room if you have mobility issues as some rooms can be very long walks to main lobby. There is a gorgeous pool with 2 levels as well as a couple of hot tubs and plenty of chairs. You can get to the beach by walking off the hotel property and down the short road. It is owned by this hotel and has lots of nice beach chairs. Take whatever you need with you though as once you get there nothing but you and the water- the restaurant was not open when we were there so don't know why. The only problem we had was each morning it seemed very hard to get coffee in a timely manner. Everyone in our group expressed the same thing. I think there were just not enough wait staff working to cover it all. The room was large and had a very nice balcony. The bathroom was large as well and the ac worked great! I would stay here again if I was planning on relaxing and being at the pool or the beach or the spa. If you are just staying here for a place to sleep it was not really close to anything else.
