Pretty decent hotel for the money we paid. Good location - can walk to Taksim Square and also close to a taxi rank and metro/bus to get to the Sultan Ahmet region. Breakfast was okay but not a huge variety
searching for a hotel in istanbul, this one offered the advantage of an included breakfast in the room fair, making a large advantage in comparaison to other hotels. Sso if u think about it its actually cheaper. It was also from the beginning cheaper so all around it was an excellent deal. The breakfast was also lovely and rich. The hotel was central. within walking distance from the famous taksim square. Acess of the metro about 300 m away. Disadvantages were only that the room was too small and it had no view. but one cant have it all right ???
I stayed at Peak Hotel during my business trip in Turkey. The room was small and I would not say that it was very clean. I did not like to bed at all, it was not comfortable. The hotel is very central but the money I paid for was not worth. The food was not vary at the breakfast.
The hotel is very near to Istiklal Street.Rooms r clean&well decorated.Staff is v.nice.My only problem was their breakfast.we were there for 5 days and it was same. it should be change on daily basis.
Close to Istiklal , The Peak Hotel offers good accomodation in very clean confortable rooms and rich breakfast. The staff was pleasant and always ready to answer and help in any question. We asked for late check out and the offered for free with no disagreement. Free hi speed wi fi everywhere.
The first night we were locked and while we slept someone was in the room because he did not know how the room was given to us when we asked for explanations? It was a mistake and no discomfor. And when we arrived at the hotel and in our room the toilet was dirty, while in general it was a clean hotel with a good morning!
Although nice location close to Istiklal caddesi and Taksim square with a lot of cafes and restaurant around - the hotel lacks almost everything basic even 2-star hotel should provide. Indifferent staff at the reception, no traditional Turkish warm welcome I am used to visiting Istanbul for 20 years. The design - although quite interesting - breaks of the dusty and dirty room. As far as I understood - the business in the hotel is slow and the maids simply do not bother with cleaning the rooms which are not used. Therefore, since my room was not occupied for at least couple of weeks - everything was covered by the thick lay of dust. Television in the room simply did not work. TV was not showing ANY TV-channel, although I mentioned this to the staff. Bringing in dirt on the air ventilator in the toilet - the dust was hangind down from it and falling down right onto the head. But the most awful thing was the "sound-proof"ing of the rooms. On my second night my neighbours - couple of Arabic guys - were shouting and laughing hysterically till 5pm. It seemed that they are sitting in my own room - the noise was clear and absolete. Bad, dirty, dusty, noisy hotel in nice location overall. To be avoided. Do not let the cheap prices fool you.
We stayed only a couple of nights (due to airport and our flight being cancelled) but it was great. Great location and close to everything. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable (although the bed was extremely squeaky!) Would recommend using the taxi rank just outside the hotel if you need it as they're cheap and legit. Would definitely stay here again for our next trip! :)
it's a convienient , clean hotel , in the centre of the city , taxim square next to it , tranquillity, super breakfast an nice friendly staff .i'd visit it againand i reccomend it to people that want to see the centre of the city and not only
The location is great, 15min walk to Taksim square... room is average, with lot of unfinished, sloppy touches (as seen in photos) We were shocked with hygiene and cleanliness, the toilet bowl had markings of urine, and even the next day after cleaning lady finished with our room it waited us again. This affected our overall impression. Breakfast was great, no complaints there. Restaurant is great, really enjoyed it, had dinner two nights in a row. Adana kebap highly recommended!
