Rooms were clean and new, but bit small. Location is perfect but noise isolation is poor and I had hard time sleeping, perhaps due to combination of outside noise and jet lag. Area around hotel is very busy all day and night, do be aware. Breakfast was great, staff is friendly and prompt. Overall it’s passing grade but I would recommend other place in the same area. Istanbul is amazing so it’s worth every penny.

Gulec hotel is very average and overpriced for the facilities provided. Breakfast was bad. Rooms are very compact. There was ants in my room and there was no attention given to have it cleaned. The hotel is not accessible by wheelchair. Staff is rude especially the lady at the breakfast restaurant. Only positive this is it’s near by tram station and Sultanahmet. But in all an unpleasant stay.

The staff were all friendly and approachable. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. They were very A special mention to Ausun, in the dining area, who, apart from being very efficient and good at her job, was also very helpful in providing advice and recommendations on sights to visit.
