The double booked our room and gave us a smaller room - at the same price! Room much much smaller. Room clean. Bathroom clean. Not enough toiletteries available. No drinking water. And istanbul tap water is not potable. Day receptionist extremely anti-semetic and anti-US. Location excellent. 5 mins from blue mosque (which means you'll wake up shaking and terrified at 6am due to the very very loud speakers for the morning prayers. No sound proofing. You can hear someone talking softly on the street dedpite being on the third floor. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety.
This stylish little hotel is located literally within minutes of Sultanahmet Square and many stunning treasures of Istanbul. The hotel has European flavor, with period decorations. The rooms are small, as is the bathroom. But this is typical for European and foreign accommodations. The place is clean, tidy, with an elevator. And the staff was fabulous, always ready to help or advise. We also had an excellent traditional and European-style breakfast upstairs, with view of the coast. Overall, this hotel is a bargain, highly recommended.
This hotel has two sites - the main hotel in the heart of things and a hotel with suites situated a block away. I stayed in the suites which was perfect as I was within walking distance of everything but away from the noise and traffic. I stayed in the Terrace Suite which was very comfortable and being at the top of the building had a large balcony looking out over the Galata Tower and the Maramar Sea. This building also has its own hamam with a sauna and a masseur can be arranged through the staff. I had the best massage of my life here. It was just superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will certainly stay again when next in Istanbul.
It is a small but very cozy hotel. We stayed in the suites which are very comfortable and perfectly located in a quiet and nice neighborhood, 5 minutes from Arazta Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable, except additional beds. Everything was clean, the tub very good, Wifi working 100%, also the air conditioning. Breakfast was very tasty and varied. When I return to Istanbul I definitely stayed in this hotel again.
Absolutely awesome hotel and very friendly hosts. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood just behind the Arasta Bazaar and the Blue Mosque. The entire staff kept going out of their way to keep us comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of choice. I will certainly come back to this hotel whenI I visit Turkey again.
my room had no sea view but no issue at all. staff are friendly n hard working esp lady who looked after our breakfast! She is marvellous. hotel is abt 10 mins to Sultanahmet station and mins away from Blue Mosque.
As I walked in, irritated because I had just fought with a cab driver who thought he could cheat my mother and I of taxi fare (It was our first time in Turkey), I saw an old man behind the admin desk with the brightest smile, and instantly I felt better about everything. He welcomed us in and knew exactly who we were. He helped us with our luggage and made sure we were settled in well. A young beautiful lady Odina, was also amazing, she smiled at all times- she answered all sorts of questions I had about Turkey and the area. Cagri, the hotel manager (handsome might I add), opened doors for his guests, called cabs and took well care of us :). The hotel is small and intimate- it is perfect if you are from a big, busy city. It is a walking distance to the metro and shops. its a great stay!
We were staying at a property close by which was not very nice and happened to check here for prices and availability. They were able to accommodate us and Zeki, the hotel manager was very nice and welcoming. The rooms are nice and the facilities are clean and well kept. The rest of the staff speaks English well is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the rooftop has amazing views!!
It was a pleasure to be in this hotel, all staff are very nice and we like a lot the old style of the hotel. The emplacement also is good, just near the old Istanbul center (Blue mosque and Aya Sofia) but away from the noise of traffic and touristic life. The only negative point is sound insulation inside the hotel is not good ! Regards Aymen
Stayed with a friend end of March. This is a small hotel with around 10 rooms. We were travelling as two females and this place was great. Excellent location very close to the main square of the old city where you find the blue mosque etc. Dilshod was always helpful with his directions and thanks to Oogr...(I think that's how you spell it?) for giving us extra blankets and telling us how to turn the heating up in our room. Breakfast was alright but for the price and location you really can't go wrong. Thanks for a great stay!
