Location is good and all important landmarks are at walking distance. Property is clean from inside but beddings could be improved. No reception onsite is a big hurdle for guests like us, vising particularly for the first time. Language barrier as manger can't speak english and response from him has been poor. The rooms are not at ground level and invilve stairs. There is no lift, so shifting luggage is a problem.

Can’t get better value for money

This review is based on value - and for the price we were delighted with our stay. The room and en-suite were clean, the shower was great, the aircon cold, and the WiFi connection fast. It is within walking distance from the big tourist draws but far enough away that you do not feel swamped with people the minute you step out the door. We were on room 2 on the ground floor, and while yes there was some noise, honestly it didn’t affect our stay. There was something quite nice about hearing the tip tap of hammers through the night from people making shoes across the street. If you do stay here try and eat at least once at the Arch Bistro just down the road. A wee bit more expensive than other restaurants but a nice treat.

Arrived at this property at 5am, they said they are moving us to another place. Walked in dark 10 minutes a run down area. Poor customer service, shady behavior. Unable to contact Expedia from Turkey as customer service number is not available. I had to call Expedia after arriving in US.

It was very basic, there is no point saying otherwise. It was a small, basically furnished room with a shower room attached. However, it was clean, everything worked and the fella in charge couldn’t do enough for the guests. The single biggest plus was the location, it was outstanding. The were plenty of shops and places to eat right on the doorstep. Crucially, both tourists and locals ate in the restaurants. The food was very good value and of a consistent high standard. The locals were incredibly friendly and the whole place seemed very safe. The main tourist sights around the Ayasofia were about 10 minutes stroll. If you’re on a budget, you couldn’t do better.

This apartment is the best place I have ever stayed in my life. The apartment manager Sinan is the most kindest kindest guy. Myself and my 2 friends travelled to Turkey and it was the first time travelling alone without family. He helped us so much and went above and beyond with helping us with small inconveniences such as arranging PCR tests, arranging taxis for us, helping us with delivery services and much much more. He was very fatherly and treated us well like his own daughters. The apartment was better than a 5 stat hotel because of the amount of help we got from him and he was so friendly. He told us to message him on whatsapp at any time and he would get back to us and he meant this literally- he even came to help us at 4am!!! I will miss his friendly smile and the apartment. Me and my friend have so much memories there now. If i ever go back to Turkey, I will only ever go to Barak apart Otel. Also- forgot to mention that everything is very local so it's convenient. The tran is about a 6 minute walk away as well as the Grand bazaar (which is close to other tourist attractions). I recommend anyone to go to this hotel!!! Amazing amazing service!!
