This hotel is wonderful, the staff are very professional - friendly and cannot do enough to help. The location is good, the hygiene standards are high, the hotel decor is modern and the atmosphere relaxing. Love the breakfast, and always service with a smile. Have been coming to Istanbul for 32 years, wish l found this hotel sooner ! Will definitely be returning, and would definitely recommend .
Practically in the back yard of the Ayasofia, nestled in a real living neighborhood, this is a modern hotel in the shell of an old stone building. Lovely breakfasts, helpful restaurant staff. The rest of the staff were great too. Several rooms have balconies. The only drawback: taxis can't get nearby because it's in the historic district (a good thing) and sometimes can't find it. Just have the driver call the hotel, and they'll find you!
Lovely clean and modern rooms. We stayed somewhere else for a few nights before this and it was great, but very chintzy and ornate, so this made a refreshing change. It’s in a good spot with plenty of restaurants and the Hagia Sophia 2 mins away, in fact we had a room with a small balcony looking right over to it. That was tiny though so probably not worth paying a premium for the room but nonetheless it was spacious and clean, no complaints. The real highlight was a great breakfast, with champagne included and plenty of treats to make it more of a brunch, so that you could eat well and late then not bother with lunch. The staff were also excellent - very smart and professional in their tailored blue suits and only too happy to help, book a local hammam etc. No hesitation in recommending.
We had a wonderful time at the Saint Sophia. Our room had a big balcony, from where we could see the Blue Mosque,Cistern and Hagia Sophia. We would highly recommend this hotel to everybody who wants to go to Istanbul. Staff is very friendly and helpful,Nebi organised trips, transfers and bookings at restaurants for us. We stayed at the hotel from the 8th to 12th of May 2018. Thanks for an amazing experience! Gustav and Sarie van Veijeren
Excellent location, right next to Hagia Sophia, short walk from 2 tram stations. Staff are super friendly and helpful, and also very knowledgable, answering all of our questions, and giving great tips. Rooms are spacious for a city hotel and immaculate. Double Glazing in the windows helps to keep out the city sound. Breakfast is an absolute treat with so many options and very generous. The hotel also has a terrace overlooking the street and a back courtyard with a bar area. Best recommendation for Istanbul, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar and Galata Tower all in walking distance. Note - this is a city hotel with all the sights and sounds, best option for a city hotel that is small and cosy.
Very well located if you want to stay in sultanahmet. Staff is really nice (hamida in particular) and welcoming. Big rooms are available only near the tram though. Really nice terrace to have breakfast
We arrived very early and after a very long taxi ride (who got lost multiple times) we were let out and walked a few metres before a very helpful staff member from the hotel met us to take our bags. We were greeted by the onsite manager who offered us a free wine as it took so long to get there and was a stressful trip...what a great start! We checked into our gorgeous room which had an enormous balcony from where you could see the Blue Mosque. This would have to be one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and wished I could have taken the bed, the sheets, the pillows and the duvet home with me. It was so luxurious! The bathroom was small but functional however the old tube hairdryer was a disappointment for such a luxurious hotel. I would recommend a decent hairdryer to be added to the room. The room was decorated beautifully and the amenities were great. We were only there for two nights and would have loved to have stayed there longer. Unfortunately we had a very early flight and we couldn't try out the breakfast. The hotel was very handy and you could walk to any of the tourist attractions which we did. It was also very handy to numerous restaurants and bars and cafes. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. It's definitely worthy of 5 stars and I can't wait to return.
Hotel is on perfect location/ close to everything/historical places, a must. Staff there are very friendly and helpful while especially hotel General Manager Mr. Cenap Solakoglu. He will take personal care to be sure that all of the guest are happy. This hotel have high ratings just thanks to hard working people there. Five Stars go to Staffs, /all of them. Hotel is in very good shape, nice and clean. Very safe and secure. Highly recommended.!
Superb small boutique hotel near all the historic sites. What makes the hotel exceptional is its friendly, knowledgeable concierge staff; from check-in to breakfast and assistance with transportation to airport, they handle every contact with guests with the utmost professionalism and kindness that is genuine and welcoming. The support staff in bar, breakfast servers, housekeeping are all well trained and always acknowledge guests with a smile and always offer assistance. My room was perfectly clean and housekeeping was helpful in providing ironing board and iron. Breakfast was delicious: a plate of tomatoes, cucumber and peppers with a side of local cheese and some cold cuts. There was also a buffet with warm pastries, sausage and other continental breakfast items. In addition to this, guests are also offered eggs cooked to their liking...I had menemen every day! The champagne on offer reminds you that you can slow down an truly relax in this oasis. After a day out, it’s lovely to relax on the patio with great bar service. I rose early in mornings to go for a run...after 7am the nearby Gülhane Park is open and provides access to Kennedy Cd where you can run along the Marmara Sea. The hotel is not accessible by taxi, but the staff will gladly meet you or accompany you on your departure to a car they’ve booked.
Directly adjacent to Aya Sophia, opposite the Basilica and near the Topkapi palace, you could not wish for a more convenient hotel for the main sites in Sultanahmet Istanbul! Dispite being on the main road and next to the grand mosques, we were not disturbed by noise in the rooms. The front desk were very helpful and informative and did not push you into any tour or attraction like many other hotels try to do. Excellent breakfasts with a wide range of selections of buffet and a la carte.
