One of the loveliest hotel I have ever been. Love the deco and the staff. The hotel has been one of the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, lovely breakfast and walking distance to all the amenities. I will definitely stay there again if I decide to come back.
We checked in last night after our trip to Cappadocia and were tired but greeted with smiles and amazing friendliness from the staff. They upgraded our room to deluxe and even gave us a nice surprise in our room as it was our honeymoon here. Rooms are clean and tidy, and toilet is with white marble which is beautiful. But giving it 2 stars less because the rooms were very small, so I can't imagine how small the standard rooms will be. We stayed at mercure hotel in Istanbul before our Cappadocia trip, and for the same price we had much much bigger rooms. And although rooms had mosque view, it was pretty noisy and hard to have a nice rest. They offered to change room but the other room was even smaller so we stuck to this. However, would recommend it if you look for smth near the mosque and good city Centre location. And also because of the very nice staff!
The Boutique Saint Sophia Hotel surpassed all our expectations. We were greeted with such warmth on our arrival and all the staff went above and beyond what you expect in a 4*hotel....Nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was very good with a buffet style service and hot food ordered at your request. Unlimited coffee to start the day and they even found out it was my birthday and bought me a birthday cake which was a wonderful surprise! There was complimentary coffee and cakes between 4 and 5pm which was so nice after walking around all day. All the staff were very informative and gave us lots of information and tips on getting around the area. They booked all our excursions and were always on hand to offer us help and advice. The location of the hotel was 10/10 with Hagia Sophia literally at the back door, The Cisterns over the road, Topkapi Palace within a couple of minutes walk and the Blue Mosque also just a couple of minutes walk. The Grand Bazaar was just 10 minutes walk away and the port for boat trips just a 2 minute tram ride away. We were so impressed. For anyone wishing a central location in Istanbul, I cant recommend this hotel enough. Well done to all the staff and especially the front of house staff who made our stay so special. May I also say that anyone visiting Istanbul for the first time, as we were, will find that security is prominent in such a tourist area. There is a police and army presence everywhere and we felt very safe. A very big tick on our bucket list and we will definately come back soon!
The hotel itself has everything you would expect from a 4 star, the bar is well stocked and breakfast caters for everyone. The staff are extremely helpful, I was driving to the hotel and they made a special effort to make sure I not only found the car park but had my help with my luggage. The rooms are very clean and well laid out with stunning views of the local area. The real gem and the reason I will be coming back is the location. From my window I could see the Sofia mosque and the ballistic cistern. From the hotel you can reach all the must see historic attractions in Istanbul on foot. I would highly recommend this hotel, the only reason I gave it 4 from 5 was the hotel kitchen was under refurbishment while we visited.
What a lovely little hotel in a superb location right next to the Palace, Blue Mosque and Sophia Hagia. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is tasty. The staff are lovely and polite. The reception people are friendly, smiling and extremely helpful My wife and I just stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 adult children. We had a WONDERFUL stay. We cannot recommend it highly enough
We very much enjoyed staying here for the week. It is wonderfully close to the key places we wanted to visit, being literally between the Aya Sophia and the Basilica Cistern, and a short stroll from the Blue Mosque. While it has a whiff of history, being originally an Ottoman mansion, the rooms and facilities are practical, attractive and modern. We were very comfortable, we loved our Turkish-style breakfasts, and the staff were superbly friendly and helpful.
The hotel is really good value for money and the location is just fantastic. I would give it 5/5 because of the service, location and rooms but unfortunately we had a room facing the main road so the noise from the tram outside was constant, therefore giving it a 4/5. But I would say that the hotel definitely lives up to the reviews it has been given, and i would definitely stay here again (ideally in a different room!)
It's very nice and clean hotel. It has good staff. Good breakfast. The only problem is that in the room you have glass door to the bathroom and it's impossible to close it absolutely. The area of Sultanahmet is touristic, interesting, but dirty and looks a bit dangerous
Seriously one of the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Located in the centre, with the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace all within a few minute walking distance. The staff were amazing, very friendly and made my stay as good as it can be. The room was very nice, exactly what you see in the picture. I had my 1yr old with me and the hotel provided a baby crib in the room for her. The bed was king size exactly as it is in the description. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Amazing Boutique hotel that can’t be faulted. We had breakfast included which was amazing. The hotel provided free cakes and tea during the hours of 4-5pm which was very nice of them. Also offered Apple TV free of charge for the room during my stay which was very nice of them. Great WiFi throughout the whole of the hotel. Seriously cannot fault it in anyway. The staff were probably the most friendliest people I’ve come across, always willing to help and go that extra mile to make your stay at the hotel as good as it can be. I’m surprised it’s that good for the amount we paid. Definitely recommend to anyone planning on staying in Istanbul.
The list goes on, free wifi, good breakfast, lovely rooms, free water in room every day, nice showers, very comfy beds.... Nothing to fault really!! Being a historic area, cars (taxis) are limited in access so be prepared to walk. Staff are very friendly, nothing is too much effort. Great location for the historic sights & trams are near by. This leads to my only negative, my room was noisey. At the front of the hotel so a lot of street noise.
