Its a good hotel near to every thing in lstanbul they treat you in a good way breakfast is ok the only problem that you can face in this hotel is the size of his rooms . The room is too small you feel that you cant move inside it otherwise every thing is ok
This Hotel is in my opinion 2 stars but it is rated 4 stars. It is located in Laleli area not far from Blue mosque. Breakfast is limited not to many choices for special need people like vegetarian or diabetics. Internet is available but slow and needs each time to enter a code. Limited international channels in the TV.
We stayed for 5 nights with my family first of all the employer and staff behavior are so friendly and kind but the rooms was so dirty and and not clean our room is so noisy and when we are sleep that sounds became more and more .. the breakfast was good and we love it at the end i can say about that hotel not good and not bad thats it
Our tour group stayed here for 2 nights. Check-in and luggage service went smoothly. Meals were good although the breakfast buffet was a bit crowded. Room 306 was nice and large with modern furnishings. But there was almost no counter space in the bathroom for our toiletry items. Street noise was discernible. Wifi worked well. We really appreciated that the hotel still provided breakfast for us at 3 am to accommodate our early flight departure! A very nice stay for us.
Hi Every Body ** Its me again ** The Amethyst Hotel is located in Istanbul ( old city ) with nice lobby ,I had a room on the Fourth floor No 409 for a night, the room were nice clean & comfortable little small but elegant, Tea making, Reception staff friendly, delicious full Turkish breakfasts, I liked that in hotel were spa & indoor swimming pool (could have some relax) perfect location close to sultan Ahmed ,aye Sofia , Bazaar & close to Aksaray Metro station easy to reach everywhere ,a lot of restaurants, coffees, ATM, good value Salah
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights . It is very clean , good location and services. The only thing I must mention the room is very small but it is worth the money we paid on Orbitz . The breakfast is also included and actually more verity than expected
Not impressed with room or some of the staff or food or entertainment. Who wants to go to Turkey and listen to somebody signing on stage in Russian? If I wanted that, then I'd go to Russia. Anyone going to Istanbul, avoid using the taxis. They are a shower of cons by clocking their metres. Was charged €20 for going 6.5Kms. Public transport is far cheaper with bus network, trams and metro services.
Hotel needs mantenaince, towels and carpets are old (I got a pair with holes on it), stains on the carpet and sheets. Sleep quality is awful, first the noise of the street (people and cars) then parties and chants every now and then, even in the middle of the night. Restaurant food is not good. Staff is not very friendly, they always in a hurry or tired of tourists, and they are not quite welcoming. I would not stay here again. And you are far from the main tourist spots. Grand Bazaar is the closest and it is a 30 minute stroll away.
Amethyst Hotel offers elegant rooms a 12-minute walk from Istanbul’s buzzing Grand Bazaar. It features an impressive indoor grotto pool and a spa with traditional hammam, sauna and massage treatments. Marmaray, the undersea rail tunnel, is within 150 metres. The food there is good and the service too. The rooms are comfortable and very nice. Also the hotel has a restaurant on the road where you can enjoy your meal with turkish songs. The hotel's location is good you can enjoy a 10-15 mins walk to visit some of istanbul's tourristic places like sultan ahmet mosqe or the hagia sofia. And don't forget once you visit turkey try the turkish delights. Hope that everyone will try it and enjoy the stay there.
We stayed here as part of a tour group. Your experience here will depend on the room you are allocated. Our room 204 at the beginning of our tour was very noisy. We could hear TV noise from neighbours on either side, the air con didn't work and having to open the window resulted in very loud street noise. At the end of the tour we had room 607 and whilst it was still a small standard room, the air con worked and we could actually get some sleep as it was a much quieter room. The staff were all helpful and there is free wifi for 3 devices per room. It is situated close to trams and the Grand Bazaar. The area has a lot of wholesale shops so check the signage before entering. If we travel to Istanbul again we would prefer to stay in the area near the Spice Market.
