Great rooftop views

We had a very quick check in. Always a good start. Reception staff, maids, a the guy at breakfast were all very pleasant. Our room was a bit on the small size. It might just be the luck of the draw. And not such a big issue, as we spent little time in there. Nice space on the rooftop. A good start to the day having breakfast with such a view. The location was ideal, because you can easily reach all the different areas Istanbul via tram and metro. Or even walk.

The Alpek Hotel's location is fantastic and breakfasts are amazing looking out over the Golden Horn and Bosporus with beautiful ancient buildings all around and ships moving on beautiful blue water. Yes, the rooms are small, but they are clean and staff are great. If you plan on spending your days in Istanbul in the hotel pool and lounging in your room, you had may as well not go to Istanbul, but if you plan on actually seeing one of the most amazing cities in the world, the Alpek is a great place to say. I've visited Istanbul many times and have tried other hotels, but once I hit on the Alpek Hotel, I've been coming back to it every time that I can. There is no better place to experience all that is fantastic about Istanbul.

This hotel has an incredible view! There is an amazing view of the Bosphorous from the roof, where they serve a wonderful complementary breakfast. Our room also had a perfect view of Yeni Camii, and the whole experience was really great and made our time in the city magical :) The rooms were also really clean and comfortable and the staff were super kind and welcoming

THE AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK. I'm an Expedia Gold Member. All I do is travel the world and sleep in hotels It's on purpose, the hotels wants to save cost and to not have all their rooms using air conditioning all night long because it affects their operating cost. It's very hot and I couldn't sleep at night. Do not let them lie to you, the workers know, MANAGMENT KNOWS but they're counting on the fact that you're only staying there for a few days and that you will leave soon and forget about it. The Expedia website also lists this hotel has having air conditioning, they are complicite. Both Expedia and Alpek hotel have tried to censore me remove my honnest and accurate review before.

A Truly Special Place

I have stayed at the Alpek Hotel in the Eminönü part of Istanbul multiple times. What you get here is a clean, comfortable, but fairly small room in a spectacular location within steps of fantastic shopping, a zillion restaurants, ferries across the Bosporus and a kind of friendly relaxed charm that is hard to describe. If you need a huge room, go somewhere else, but otherwise, enjoy the excellent breakfast on the roof as you begin the day watching ferries come and go in the Golden horn, marvel at the Yeni Cami Mosque next door and watch the world go past on a parade of ships through the Bosporus. This is a truly special place. The major tourist attractions are mostly within walking distance, although the walk can involve a lot of uphill. If you don't want to walk, the tram is right there to take you to Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and the outstanding Archaeological museum. I've stayed in many hotels in Istanbul, Alpek Hotel is far and away my favorite. It is small with old world charm, but a functioning elevator and staff who are wonderful. Don't necessarily expect this every time, but if they can they will let you into your room early and simply have a way of making you feel welcome. I'll be staying there again.
