When you walked into the first doors there was dog poop that someone kept covering up with a rug instead of actually cleaning up, it was there for 2 days! The lady at the bar was very rude when I asked about mixed drinks as I am not a drinker and just wanted something that tasted good after my day of riding out on the trails. The pool felt dirty, I got out and when I rubbed my leg it felt like dead skin/dirt. The gym could definitely use some more equipment.

We had an EXCELLENT stay at the AmericInn in Silver City. Staff is friendly, clean, generously sized bathrooms, great amenities (we loved the sauna!) and the food in the restaurant was fantastic! We can’t wait to come back for another snowmobile trip!

We got a suite with a jetted tub in the room. The tub would not hold water and kept draining. The hotel fire alarm went off early in the morning and staff said that it just happens sometimes. There was no real breakfast to speak of, they had no eggs or sausage. The staff however was very friendly and polite. The scenery is beautiful and very location is great. I would say the issues are more the owner not investing money to keep the place to standard rather than the staff’s fault.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, they were actually at the front desk and not tucked away in a back office. The room was very clean and spacious. The pool and sauna area was well maintained. WiFi was nice to have as we did not have the best cell coverage in the area. If I were to have a complaint the beds are a little firm for our liking.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to check in and out. The hotel offered a great free breakfast that provided a variety of choices. There was also a restaurant in the hotel with good food and a bar. My favorite part was being so close to Lake Superior. There was plenty of different seating options on the beach to enjoy the lake.

The location on Lake Superior and near the trail to Lake of the Clouds was excellent. It was nice having a restaurant in the hotel. We tried walleye, which we've never had before. The staff were helpful, and the room and hotel were clean.

The heated pool was not heated. The outdoor seating area was dismantled so we were not able to enjoy our last day (the best weather wise) comfortably on the beach. The staff was great and the available washer/dryer was much appreciated.

Staff was abundantly friendly and kind. We were disappointed the pool and hot tub were out of commission. But if they had been in service, it would have been the perfect place to stay after a day hiking in the beautiful Porcupine Mountains. Location right on the lake was also superb.

This is an ideal location for anyone visiting the Porkies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All the accommodations were excellent. The view of Lake Superior was gorgeous. We even did some rock hunting!
