We have been vacationing with VRBO for the last 13 years with a couple of friends. Every year we are hoping to find the one place that earned a return trip consideration. This Wausau Cabin on Twin Bear has it all. First off,,, IT'S VERY CLEAN. To us, THAT is a big deal! Secondly, there are literally just three steps to get to the lake, and they are on the huge deck looking right at the water just 30 feet away. The bay out where the dock sits is about 5 feet deep and as clear as a swimming pool. Sunfish will eat out of your hand with a worm and I did catch a nice bass right off the dock with a twitch bait. The cabin itself was lovely, with a giant "L"-shaped sofa and a big table for eating and a spacious kitchen island to park all our edibles. The fridge-freezer is wonderful, with an easy to operate water water dispenser inside with a big lower freezer with tons of ice. The bathroom shower is great, easy to use and there is a simple-to-operate washer/dryer right in the spacious bathroom. Nice clean towels and bath soaps were furnished and very pleasing to use. The drive down the driveway was well groomed and easy to use and being just one mile from a nice night club and 5 minutes from town meant that we never went hungry for long. This cabin just might be THE VRBO we have been searching for. We have decided to request a stay next year. because this place checks off all the boxes we would desire to spend a week in the North woods. Thank you, to management for this opportunity.
Clean, lovely cabin on the water close to restaurants and groceries. Communication is weird because of the corporate level involvement. Clearly a press to communicate clearly, but it came from several different contact points which was confusing. But I appreciate the kind interactions and information. Was a great stay, and we enjoyed our time. A handle on the sliding glass door would be appreciated as it’s the main traffic point once moved in.
