I stayed here for 3 nights while on a business trip. Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and breakfast each morning was great. They had cookies throughout the day, each day and popcorn each evening. They did all the little things that made this a great stay. If in the Kingsford area again, I will stay here again.
Stayed here for the first time a year ago and made a point to come back this year. The hotel is located off Highway 2 just far enough to offer a quiet refuge after a long day of driving. When booking a week earlier, they hotel was even able to put me into a room facing away from the road and on the third floor. It has an elevator. A warm and friendly greeting from Kevin, "I'm here until 11 if you need anything", at the desk set the mood for the evening. The room was spacious, the bathroom clean, the bed comfortable, a big screen TV was appreciated. A sign in the lobby said remodeling is being completed. Breakfast offered numerous choices both hot and cold. All staff encountered were particularly friendly. Appreciated the small lunch bag offered at check out that contained water, granola bar and an apple.
I loved the hotel it was clean and nice. The people at the desk were wonderful. The rooms were clean and it looks like they just updated it. The work out room was clean and nice. I did not like they allowed people to come and use the pool who were not staying there for a fee. There was a lot of large furniture for the room and I felt a little closed in. Also they forgot to give us our wake up call. I would start there again it was very quite.
I was not thrilled when I saw this was the hotel that had been booked for my stay. That is until I had my first contact with the front desk staff. Kudos to Kathy Lund who happened to be on the front desk when I arrived. I travel A LOT and am used to how most front desk personnel deal with phone calls and people standing there waiting on the clerks to finish a phone conversation. Kathy was so friendly and accommodating, and when the phone rang she said to the caller, "May I please have your number so I can call you back immediately? I have guests I am currently serving and I want to be sure I can give YOU my undivided attention." WOW - I have NEVER heard that! She needs to train staff everywhere! There are other reasons I enjoyed this place. It is clean, well-managed and near a few restaurants. My only criticisms are that the walls are thin so you do hear your neighbors making it hard to sleep at times, and the breakfast area can get unpleasantly crowded. But overall, Kathy and the hotel management are to be commended!
This is a very tired motel in serious need of a renovation. Rooms and furniture is old, bedspreads are gross and don’t look like they have been cleaned in years. I was not at all comfortable here. I will say staff was friendly and helpful which was a plus. Breakfast was just okay.
Excellent stay very friendly and polite.Made sure if we had or if we needed anything.Excellent continental Breakfast, complimentary popcorn and cookies..yumm.We left earlier then checkout and they had complimentary bags to go with a pear, granola and a bottle of water.Obove and beyond...Vety homey
Nice clean rooms , swimming pool area adequate for my grandchildren to have fun, breakfast very nice. Reasonably priced for a fun family time.Staff is very friendly and helpful . Good location to the local shopping!
The two queen beds and pullout sofa bed suite was great for my wife and I and four small children. The beds were very comfortable. The room was warm (December time). The complimentary breakfast was very good. It included ham, potatoes, and egg'n'cheese omelets. They had waffles which my kids enjoyed. I added strawberries and whipped cream. Wonderful stay. I'd stay again when I'm in the area.
We enjoyed our stay at the Iron Mountain Country Inn and Suites. We were there for 2 nights to attend a family gathering. Our 2 year old granddaughter loved the pool and liked getting a free cookie. Over all the stay was very enjoyable and the price was good.
Good rooms, good staff, reasonable prices. Comfortable beds. The hotel is easy to get to, since it is located right on the main highway through town. It is right near restraurants, Walmart and other shopping outlets.
