Since many years we regularly spend a long weekend at the Astoria Resort - and every year it is a real pleasure! The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious and the rooms / spa area are very appealing. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
Really excellent hotel with best view and helpful staff. The room was excellent with best view and the breakfast was excellent. I recommend this hotel to all couples or even families. The location was excellent
This hotel, like many others, accept tour groups to support their business during the off-season. I arrived at this property recently as a member of a tour group. The attitude of service staff, especially in the restaurants, towards those diners identified to them as "tour group" guests was sub-standard. If the hotel doesn't "want" tours to stop at their property, then DON'T ACCEPT THE RESERVATION! But to take our money under the pretense of a 4-star property then return sub-standard, sometimes downright insulting, service to paying guests should not be tolerated. In my opinion, and the opinion of many other of my fellow travelers, this behavior deserves a downgrade in property rating. If this is indeed management's condescending approach to paying guests then they deserve a "slap in the face" similar to that received by their tour guests.
Beautiful ,totally relaxing Hotel. With big , bright modern rooms without any carpets on the floor!!!!!! Very kompetent, friendly staff! Tasty evening menu! Is for sure the best hotel with the best service in Seefeld!
This Hotel is amazing , the staff are wonderful , greet you every morning with a smile, The food is the highlight, however if you are a big eater you may need more , but look on the bright side go for quality not quantity. I would have liked to see some standard bikes as well as the complimentary E Bikes as these are not safe if you want to ride mountain tracks
I came here for five nights with my husband and our little dog to take advantage of the hiking opportunities in late summer before the snow arrives for ski season. Although expensive, it most certainly was worth it! Our dog was welcomed by the hotel, not just tolerated as we have experienced in the past. A bed, towel, treats and bowls awaited him in the room. The bathroom had two sinks which was convenient when getting ready in the morning, also a bath tub, shower and separate toilet. The room had just been renovated, as had most of the hotel, and was just beautiful. The balcony and the view from it was breathtaking. The breakfast in the morning was plenty. An open buffet of cereals, breads, fruits, cheeses etc with also the option to order fresh eggs, bacon, mushrooms and sausages. The staff in the restaurant were busy but well trained. The maitre d' (Gerhart) was super friendly and always had a little chat in the morning. Dinner was out of this world. We only paid an extra £80pp for the entire stay to have it included so we weren't expecting much. It was a full seven courses every night and you had options to choose from. The food was unreal and to go with it our waiter, Karl, was fantastic. Very sweet man and was always very courteous. He did a very good job. The spa area was great. Pools inside and outside as well as treatments available, double bed booths to lounge around on, a lounge area with water and snacks, a small jacuzzi pool outside. We had a routine of coming back from a long hike and going straight for a swim, perfect! The only thing I would say is that maybe the receptionists could have a bit more personality. When we asked them for help, it would feel as if we were inconveniencing them but perhaps they were very busy or maybe there was a culture difference there. Happy to overlook that as everything else was just perfect.
Such beauty in a wonderful setting! The rooms are luxurious. The dining room delicious. Book it now! You'll be enchanted.the bathrooms are spa-like. The bathroom ecoutremens are wonderful. To relax, to work, to escape - this is THE place where it can all happen
The setting is spectacular! The decor was rustic elegance. Picture perfect entrance and lobby. The room with a fireplace and views of the Alps was my favorite of many 5 Star Hotels in the region. Would love to return someday!
We have just returned from our holiday here and what a wonderful experience we had. On our arrival we were greeted by name by Victoria and shown around the hotel. Our room was upgraded to one with a panoramic balcony and very stylish interior. We found dinner very enjoyable, the food was of high quality with ample choice ,the staff very friendly and professional. Although the weather was quite damp during our stay we managed to hire E-Bikes provided by the hotel and made full use of the excellent spa facilities and 3 pools. We were sad to leave this hotel and are planning to return next year for a holiday.
We were just back from Ibiza and were looking for something nice to come back down to earth. We drove down from Heidelberg so was no problem and its just 20 minutes over the DE-AT border. No Vignette required :O). Hotel has just been extensively renovated and we had one of the new rooms. Room was wonderful and huge. Outside areas are large and despite hotel being pretty full you hardly saw anyone which was great. Spa area is being extended but what is already there is fine given the extensive external swimming and lazing about opportunities. New bar manager was young but very enthusiastic and competent. Usual friendly Austrian hospitality and wines were well selected and without some of usual mark ups you see in winter. Cocktails were excellent in quality and value. Overall Bar was a key highlight including an Opera night with singers from Wien :O) Food was nice and not overly complex, some potentially overly abitious stuff around paella in the middle of Europe but overall quality was good. Breakfast was extensive enough for us and went on till quite late , so ideal if you are looking for a lazy week.
