We knew of this hotel having stayed elsewhere in the resort two years previous, and took up a ridiculously good offer from Thomson for a week's half board. The hotel is brilliantly centrally positioned to all of Santa Eulalia. The food is superb and varied and the staff are some of the friendliest we have encountered. The facilities within the hotel are great, apart from the morning stampede for sunbeds around the small pool area, this didn't bother us, as we spent most of our time n the town or on the front. The only downside to our break was the size of our room, it was more like a single occupancy unit which I assume was the source of the 'ridiculously good offer's. It didn't spoil our holiday and we would return, but not with Thomson.
We have had a lovely stay in this hotel, which is in a great location. In town, but if you go out of the doors, turn left and cross the road, walk 2 mins to your right and you're at the marina. Here you can book ferries (on the day) to go to Formentera (34 euros each - when you get there you can book three bus excursions, don't choose option 2 as the first beach is better), or Ibiza town (not a great deal to see, 20 euros each) or other local resorts. You stop at Cala Llonga on the way. Formentera takes about 1h45 and Ibiza just over 50 mins. Very easy to get back and very regular trips. By the ferry booking station is the stop for the tourist train, we got on this (pay on the day) to go to the Hippy Market - don't go! Do not waste your time! You cannot move and nothing really worth buying, you feel like you're trapped in a big maze and are relieved to get out alive. The train itself is okay but nothing special. Just to the right of the marina is the beach, which is a nice one. The promenade runs along the beach and is full of shops, restaurants, cafes, no 'big' attractions but perfect for milling and chilling. There are a few British places, Ring o Bells and Nimmos Wild Rover bar are right by the hotel, only go to Ring o Bells if you can handle sarcasm, they're lovely though and will make cocktails to order even if not on their menu. Mel's, further up, offers gluten free options for food if you need this. Right at the very end of the beach is Mariner's Beach Bar, live music there, good to chill out but the cocktails are expensive and horrible. Beers are good though. The hotel: arrived late, flight delayed, but they left some food out for us in the restaurant. Fridge in room is free but you have to pay for the safe, they give you a key. You also pay a Balearic tax. Safe plus tax combined was about 54 euros. The safe is good but a bit small. Same with the fridge. Tip: there is a supermarket by the hotel, just cross the road, 30 second walk. We bought baguettes, margarine, ham, cheese in there and saved loads of money on lunches. Lots of wardrobe space in room, shower over bath, big mirror, bidet, balcony with two lockable slide doors so double protection. Clothes dryer on balcony, table and chairs, spacious. We had a room overlooking the street which was fine. Cleaner comes every day but not particularly early. They are quick though. TV only has two English channels. Kettle in room, tea provided but only decaff coffee, so bring your own coffee sachets. Charging sockets are a poor fit. Air con and a ceiling fan in room, very nice. Beds hard, pillows hard and look more like draught excluders! Slept well though. Clean room, only encountered one large beetle which I evicted. Reception staff helpful, the one lady does always look very grumpy though! Restaurant staff are great, special mention to Paqui who is lovely. In the mornings if you want tea or coffee don't go and get your own, ask your waitress and they bring it. Great selection for breakfast, although my wife needed gluten-free and they have a gluten-free area (toaster, sink) but no gluten-free products by it! Bizarre! So we had to ask and initially they got us gluten-free bread, but then they ran out, but then every morning they started going to the bakery especially to buy my wife some hot baguettes! Amazing customer service. Surely it would be easier to buy gf bread? But anyway, much appreciated. For evening meal we had to speak to the head chef (dresses all in black, big hat, looks like the pope), lovely man. Very patiently explained to my wife what she could and couldn't eat each night. It would be easier to just label GF next to any foods that were gluten-free, but again, very nice customer service. A good range of food for the evening meals, always hot, desserts weren't labelled though so we avoided most of them and stuck to ice cream, which there were good options for (the caramel is lovely). People are reluctant to eat something when they don't know what it is. Also most desserts were uncovered so sometimes flies were an issue. The pool area is nice, seen complaints about loungers and temperature and size - unless you are a beached whale the pool is plenty big enough. The water is warm and there are always loungers available. There is a shallow and a deeper end so perfect. The gym is by the pool and is free, limited but great for a workout. Overall this is a good resort for a base in Ibiza because you can go anywhere easily and it's a nice, safe, chilled out resort. This is a great hotel and we enjoyed our stay, can't understand some of the complaints I've read at all, some people must never be happy. Been to a lot of hotels, the friendliness of the staff here was up there near the top.
The staff took tremendous care of us with good attention to detail, courteous and an excellent variety of quality food, notably better than the average hotel buffet. Very comfortable rooms, well kitted out and a brilliant location, minutes from marina, beach, buses, shops and supermarkets. Note, there are rooms of different sizes and standards, so check details carefully with your agent before booking.
We selected this hotel, because we wanted hotel with a good, central location and peaceful and quiet place. regarding this - hotel is top! before coming to Ibiza we stayed 7 nights in Formentera in 3 star hotel and compare to this it was dissapointing for us as a 4 star hotel: only one day out of 8 it was prosciutto for breakfast (in 3 star hotel - every day). Selection of food was very good, specialy selection of cheese and sweets. I need special gluten free diet and they provided me bread every day, but this was it. No special croissants, muffins,...which I got every day in 3 star hotel in Formentera. Personel is ok, but nothing special - specialy ladies behind the front desk looks like they have enought of people - looked tired and bored. No special charm of hotel.
My husband and I visited this hotel on 10th July and stayed for 5 nights. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms were bright and spacious, we had a room overlooking the pool. The room had a kettle with tea, coffee etc., and complimentary toiletries in the spacious bathroom. Breakfast and dinner was very good, with a different theme for dinner each night. Guests were mainly over 50 but there were younger couples also. The hotel is a very short walk to the harbour and beach. The hotel is spotless in every area and I would definitely return. The only reason I did not give a 5 out 5 is due to the fact that I like a sea view but new this before I booked. Santa Eulalia is a lovely town with plenty of restaurants and shops and a lovely promenade. If you want a relaxing holiday with great accommodation choose this hotel.
Our 4th Year at this hotel , not bad for a couple that don't like to go to the same place twice . Lovely adult only hotel , Brilliant staff, really good central location. Easy access to bus & ferry stops all within a 5 minute or so walk taking you to other parts of the island. Short distance to lovely Marina , restaurants & bars
All staff very friendly, pleasant & helpful esp Paco & Tom on reception. Cleanliness was first class, restaurant good choice of food & the position of the hotel was central to get anywhere in Santa Eulalia. We had a pool view upgraded room which was superb so cannot comment on other rooms. Would definately come back to this hotel if we return to Ibiza.
This is an adults only hotel that is in the nice resort of Santa Eulalia. It is a couple of blocks away from the beach and approx 100 mts to the marina. The hotel is staffed with exceptional people that always had a smile and are willing to make your stay enjoyable. Our room was 546, it was a large modern room that had air con and a refrigerator which was a nice touch. However this room did have some kind of large boiler or aircondition pod on the roof above which gave a loud noise into our room. This noise was annoying and woke me up at 4 am on the first night. To be fair to the hotel the reception team did offer us an alternative room but we turned it down as it was smaller and inferior. We decided on keeping 546 and endured the noise. As others had said there are the usual morons that reserve a sunbed at 9am then bugger off for a few hours. This didn't affect us as we are beach people and happily spent the day at the wonderful beach nearby. Food was outstanding. Plenty of choice and a different selection of food every night. Free Cava at breakfast was something different. The age range of the guests was towards the older side but that was welcome as we didn't want drunk youngsters running around. There was some singers fo the evenings but we preferred to do what the Spanish do and that is to walk the beautiful promenade. Would visit again. Well done to the staff.
Hotel is in a great location , very clean & tidy staff very helpful food great variety ,only downfall is the pool area and lack of sunbeds , this hotel is very peaceful but just a few steps away is all the entertainment you could want with very please t views , beaches have lifeguards and very clean
1st time in Ibiza so first time in this hotel.Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the hotel and the efficiency of the staff.Arrived late at night and was greeted with a cold drink and efficient check in.Food was available for us,we didn't eat but had a drink at the bar which served till 1 am.The food was good, plenty of choice but the bacon was hard.Good pool always sun beds available, could be a problem in high season.Pool towels were available for a deposit.People still queued for beds as the sun and shade vary throughout the day.We had room 529,it was enormous and spotless and had a pool view and a shady balcony. The hotel is in a great location 5 mins from the Marina and about 10 mins from the no smoking beach.not many parasols on the beach so get there early. The marina and the promenade are brilliant of a night, plenty of bars and restaurants and entertainment.Would recommend Nimmo's Wild Rover Irish Bar,Mirage,Ring o Bells. We were told of Liquido, run by a Paul Weller fan and played Northern Soul and Mowtown, but we didn't make it. Ibiza town lovely for a visit but wouldn't bother with the Hippy Market at Es Cana, too busy and too hot.Don't forget there is a Balearic tax payable to the hotel on arrival.
