There are many Ibizas - party one, hippie one and quiet one. The hotel is located at a quiet one. It's a very big hotel, with a big restaurant and spacious rooms and the staff is very helpful. It's a good place to use as a base to explore the island, and there is also a ferry to Formentera. There is also a parking place close to the hotel.
First class for disabled travelers based in the centre of santa Eulalia Ibiza staff very helpful side door is the only acces for wheelchairs as the main entrance has a revolving doors the rooms are ok some have much better views of the pool which is quite small but the restaurant has glutton free food available and is excellent and plentiful most nights have entertainment la Cala would be much better if you had wifi in your f o c
Our room was clean, spacious and wheelchair accessible although the shower floor was very slippery and I fell on the first day. After that we used bath towels on the floor to solve that problem. If you want wifi in your room, you have to pay for it but its free in the lobby. The location of La Cala is near to town, the marina and the beach so nothing is very far away and it is convenient for a daily walk along the lovely promenade. The food is good with a wide range of choices at buffet breakfast and dinner. The staff fall over themselves to please. Children are not welcomed here so the age range tends to be at the more ‘mature’ end of the scale and the evening entertainment echoes that. Because the location is a few streets back from the beach, the views are of other buildings and most of the balconies overlook the pool and other balconies. If you like to spend your days away from the hotel, this is not a problem and it wasn’t for us. The lift was a very tight fit for an electric wheelchair but with jiggling I got in. The wheelchair entrance is not the front entrance and has an annoying small step to bump up each time. It also requires a standing person to ring the bell until someone out of view on reception has a minute to check the cctv to release the locked door. I think this system needs reviewing as some wheelchair users travel alone. I love Santa Eulalia and as wheelchair accessible rooms are rare here, I am happy to stay at La Cala so will happily return.
Comfortable, spacious rooms and spotlessly clean. The hotel has a town location and some rooms face outside to the street so Its worth paying for a pool view. The hotel enjoys a good location one street back from the marina and a short walk from the beach. Food was generally good with a good choice at breakfast and in the evening. We stayed in late October so the pool was not used and the sun terraces were in the shade but we found the outside seating area was pleasant. Overall, a nice hotel with friendly staff in a good location.
We have visited Santa Eulalia many times before but had never stayed at this hotel. Firstly the location is great, right in the middle of town and a few minutes walk to bars, restaurants the marina and the beach. Upon arriving at the hotel, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room overlooked the town but that wasn't a problem as there wasn't much noise to be heard. the room was clean and tidy but slightly dated. The pool area is super small and people queue for a sunbed, again not a problem for us as we are more beach people. The food was very good with lots of choice. We had noticed a few bad reviews about the food however im not sure why, as even the fussiest of eaters would be ok. Staff very friendly at meal times. We are regular visitors to Ibiza and wouldn't hesitate to stay her again
Hotel very clean, staff were on the whole helpful and friendly with a few exceptions Spanish holidays were on and the whole place seemed geared to their needs, forgetting the rest of the clientele If we were to return, it would be at a different time of year. If excepting European and Worldwide guests, food and all the entertainment should cater for everyone
On arriving we were not sure about the hotel from the outside ,but once through the doors our doubts disappeared. Booked in at reception quickly and advised drinks in restaurant were free as a trial. (Red, White, Rose', Water, and Beer). Food was OK could have been a bit hotter, never seen any show cooking, this did not stop my enjoyment of meals though. All restaurant staff were excellent no waiting for tables to be cleared and very helpful especially when trying to pour a beer for tose of us who could not master it. We had trouble with our door lock, Reception staff Young lady and gent dealt with it over and above there duties (the young man in particular very brave). we were given another room for the rest of our stay (a fantastic suite.) The hotel is just a short stroll to the Marina and the beach, a nice walk along the sea front to the end then follow the river walk eventually back to the centre. We were the last week in October and it was nice and not overcrowded weather still good enough to sunbathe if you wanted though i fear pool would be cold maybe that's why no one was in. Never got to see the Spa or Sauna etc no signs spotted though only thought about it when it would have been to late to use. We would definitely go back to this hotel and resort again. (much better than Es-Canar) Once again the staff are a credit to your Hotel and a very special thanks to your 2 reception staff and the locksmith who sorted door lock as I said above and beyond their duties, FIRST RATE.
If you want to relax, what a great place. This hotel was full of pensioners on my half term visit. 90% Spanish, about 9% British and the odd French, Italian,German, Dutch and Belgium. Yes I knew I booked an "adult only" hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Bingo every night ( taken very seriously- people told to "shush"! While playing) lots of vintage music. I spoke to 7 different Britsh couples who were so pleased that they re booked for next year. Many Spanish guests come every year- it's very popular. The opening conversation starter in any language was How long have you been married? There was a 50th & 40th wedding anniversary celebration while I was there. If you are a pensioner, you will love it. Top tip if hiring a car, Class cars ( rep visits hotel) offer an amazing price & value for pensioners, I wasn't eligible and got 4 days car hire cheaper from the next block ( £24 less). Access: Lifts, ramps & even a chair lift to help people into the pool. Food: very impressed, buffet service: endless salad, meats, fish, fruit & deserts. However, top tip: there are 450 rooms and the breakfast/lunch/dinning room seats 238- so the earlier you go the more leisurely the experience. People who came in the last hour had to queue for a table and the tables are cosy, which is a great way to meet and chat to people. Staff all very helpful, especially if you have a go at Spanish, but not essential as all staff were bilingual. Rooms: my room faced the sea- but there was a 5 story building blocking the view! I would recommend an inner pool view, as the scooters were loud & there was road building works in progress. Perhaps less noise from the entertainment music on the higher levels. Final note: If there's only one thing you do in Ibiza, go to Eivissa (Ibiza town) and walk up and around the castle. Not a lot of history: I visited the castle, several towers ( closed), civil war bunkers, phonoecian ruins & necropolis near castle. Wildlife: Caught ferry from Eularia to Formentura and walked around lagoon/ reserve, where we saw many birds of prey and various wading birds, lots of small bird life and of course lizards every where. Beaches: I liked St Vincent best & Vadella, but so manyto choose from. If you've read this far- then you'll be going to Ibiza. Weather: Fantastic, beautiful clear blue skies in October 25-30 degrees C.
My wife and I have just come home from a fantastic week in the Envisa La Cala hotel in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. The hotel was great (adult only) and spotlessly clean. Rooms was good, bed clean and comfortable. Complimentary drinks at reception when checking in were very welcome and really set the mood for the stay here. Double balcony doors in the rooms keep out all unwanted street noise. The staff were all great, everyone from the cleaners, through kitchen & dining room staff, bar staff, to the reception staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was great, fantastic choice and good quality at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is very well placed in the resort just one street away from the marina and a few minutes walk from the beach with all of their associated bars, restaurants and shops. As ever, Jet2 provided great flights, on time with no hassles. We will certainly be returning to this hotel again.
We have stayed in this hotel 4 times in the last few years. We love the friendly staff and the rooms are always very clean. The food is in abundance with plenty of choice for every one. I love that it is an adult only hotel so we can relax without the noise of children running wild. The only downside for some could be that the pool has limited sunshine daily, but it was no hardship for myself or hubby. The beach is a two minute walk and is always spotless/
