Stayed at this hote June 2017, Half board 7 nights. Hotel in the town centre very close to all amenities, beach, town centre, marina, bars and restaurants. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable with fridge and tea making facility. Nice shampoo/bath gel conditioner in bathroom. Good hairdryer. Food was good on the whole with great choices for starters and deserts but main choice meats not too great. Our waitress Loli was really lovely and helpful. This would not put us off as we are looking to go back later in the year. Santa Eulalia is pretty flat for walking with a great promenade - felt very safe. Great atmosphere.
breakfast ok. never had a hot meal on any one of the 11 nights we stayed. Food would have been fine if hot. Picked fish one evening , and it may have come straight from fridge it was that cold..The chef looked more loooked more like the GRIM REAPER prowling around in black.Staff lovely, room with pool view was lovely We.v e been twice ,would only return if food was guarenteed to be hot. Stayed in May2017.
This is a really nice hotel, spotlessly clean and the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The food is good, with nice little touches like Cava breakfasts. The only minor gripe I would make is about the beds, they were really small and my feet hung off the end (I'm 6 ft 2 in) and they're really hard. However the good points of the hotel far outweigh the bad.
We just got back from a weeks stay and found it by far the best Hotel for the staff they could not be faulted. The food for us was not too good it was cold and the meat was not cooked satisfactory. I think the staff work very hard and at times need more help in the dining room. The sunbed situation was not good there was a sign on the wall said no towels to be put on beds to save them but people always did !!!!
This hotel is ok!! Stayed here five times, but no more! The food is mediocre, beds hard and very noisy on a night, sleeping is not good. Such a shame it used to be great. Had To ask for a new soap!! Basics are being skimped on. This is only a three star hotel by any standard! My husband also adds that the chef wears black!! Food is murdered!
Room not ready on arrival but not a real problem. First room given was awful. Completely overlooked by block of flats. Second room offered a little better but nothing special.Fridge not working so reported to reception but told it's a mini bar not a fridge! ! By the third day it was miraculously cold hooray. Bathroom has no ventilation and smells of urine!! Breakfast is the far better meal of the day. Evening meal is mediocre at best but we have eaten out to be honest. So many places to choose from and all the food has been great. This is our second visit and last. It seems everything has been cut back to the bare minimum. There is a Thomson Gold hotel down by the marina which looks far superior. Booking fir next year ASAP.
Just got back from a weeks stay at La Cala and I have to say we were very impressed. The hotel is in a very good location, a short walk to the beach and the promenade where all the bars and restaurants are. Also about 30 seconds walk to the supermarket to stock up on water etc. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a pool side room which was very big and a nice bathroom which was enough for the two of us. It was very quiet at night time and we both had very good nights sleep. The pool area is nice, maybe they could do with a few more sunbeds but we found it adequate enough with chill out music being played throughout the day which created a nice atmosphere. Now the most important part........... the food! We were half board and the selection available at breakfast and dinner was excellent. It changed every night and the Mexican night was definitely the best. So much choice and the food tasted so good! Different selection of meat every night and so many other things to try. The desserts were a highlight of the nights for me, get there for the 7pm open though as the best cakes/gateaux go quickly! The waiting staff were so nice and friendly and they always had a smile on their faces which made the evening very pleasant. WiFi is good around the pool and on the ground floor of the hotel. They have entertainment at the hotel every other night however we only caught it briefly one night but the lady singer was very good. Overall I couldn't fault this hotel in any way, excellent location, food very nice and the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Santa Eulalia. Thanks for a lovely holiday La Cala!
Another perfect two weeks in the hotel which again we cannot fault with the added bonus that Pedro has fulfilled his promise to himself and all his clients that he would work to achieve the best wifi possible. As usual people have to complain for complaining sake. We have a new chef who has totally changed the food.the people who complained last year the food was not good are now complaining it is differ - we defy anyone to say the could not find simething good to eat, Thanks again Pedro and his amazing staff
Just spent a very pleasant fortnight here (19th May - 2nd June) and we were suitably impressed right from the start..Whilst checking in we were given a refreshing cold drink which was much appreciated. Although only 11.00am our room was ready and therefore we were unpacked and settled in very quickly. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff are particularly friendly and efficient and seem genuinely to enjoy their work right through from reception, cleaners, waiting staff and bar staff. Food was good with a lot of variety but evening meals were often not as hot as they could be. We were slightly surprised to find that the dress code was not enforced strongly enough for dinner. As always 90% of guests stuck to the rules but there was always too many people in scruffy shorts etc. We feel the in house brochure should be updated over this and also the fact it still advertises a childrens pool although being Adult only. This brings up the only other small complaint. There is no way enough sun beds to acc omodate the number of guests. This was only the last two weeks in May but it was virtually impossible to get a bed after 11.00am which with being rather elderly was rather unfortunate. Apart from this we really have no qualms at all and thoroughly recommend this hotel for a very peaceful holiday.
Me and my sister stayed at this hotel for a few nights to enjoy a quick break. It's central to the quiet town, near the harbour and sea front beach. Shops central to the hotel. We loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it. Our room overlooked private accommodation but this was not a problem. The room was spotless. The corridors have beautiful shining marvel floors which are polished and look stunning. The bar area is nice and welcoming by the bar team, they also provide a pool side service. The pool is small with lots of sunbeds around the pool and a separate terrace. All staff at this hotel were smiling and happy. There was a lovely lady in the dining room who needs a mention but I cannot remember her name, she had glasses, small. The dining room was well stocked serving different stations, there was a variety of food to a good standard. We would not hesitate to return.
