BRAXOS A beautiful rocky place

Set in a traditional settlement at the top of the hill this stone house offers a private sun terrace with amphitheater views to the Port and the surrounding area.
With a quiet and peaceful place we provide our guests an excellent local staying at the old, historic part of the island.

After a 15min walk in the stone alleys of Hydra you reach Kiafa, the oldest part of the island of Hydra, where you can totally relax and forget the city. The place is newly built and decorated with love. Fully equipped and providing with many comforts to any couple looking for a memorable holiday.

Your place is part of a family house, inhabited by a sweet couple and occasionally their children's families. It has a private entrance along with a totally private terrace. There is also a common garden area and also an area used by the family which is out of reach. The laundry is also common and can be arranged with the hosts. The family keeps some domestic animals. Next to the property there is a hencoop with a dosen of chickens. If you' re not allergic you can have a fresh omelette for breakfast! There are also some cats that saunter around the studs. You are welcome to feed and play with them!

The hosts, a couple of teachers, well knowned and beloved by the locals, along with their son, will be more than happy to welcome you to their place and provide you with any information needed for a pleasant stay.

Your entrance to the neighborhood is signaled by our neighbor' s hounds, indicating the end of the urban fabric and the beginning of the countryside. The house is an intersection to the most of the island' s trails. So whether you seek for peace or for adventure, this is your place!

It is well known that there are no cars in Hydra. The only way to reach the house is by foot or you can hire a donkey from the Port that can help you with the luggage. Let us know for the exact arriving time so we arrange a pick up for you and your luggage or ask us to provide you with information.
House guide:
We are doing recycling at the properties, so you could contribute by putting the empty bottles on the side, but please do not brake them as the recycling machine take them in one piece. And Just take the general waste with you.
Thank you for not using the white towels at the beach. We provide with beach towels every property.

Quiet with great view

All was very good. It is about 950 metres from the port, up the hill so be prepared to walk UP. However well worth it. Also if you want to do the walk up to the monetary you are about 1km closer. It would be great if there was a table and chairs inside instead of the long bench bench that is there there.
