Beautifully located resort, near the lake, surrounded by hills and forest. My cozy room had a breathtaking view on the lake and the hills. Very kind and supportive staff. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. A lot to do in the nearby town.

The whole hotel is neglected. It was dirty, and under staffed. It was New Years Eve and the hotel was sold out. We arrived early , check in was 4:00. They refused to check people in early but had nothing for the people to do while they waited. Didn't even offer snacks or alcohol for sale. Terribly unprepared.

Rooms were dirty. Housekeeping only came 2 out of 5 days due to staffing shortages. The pool was not heated as advertised. Some staff couldn’t have cared less when we brought concerns to them but for the most part, the staff were empathetic and understanding of our concerns. The biggest issue was the lack of consistent hot water. Shower couldn’t maintain hot water and sometimes had none at all. The sink hot water was also intermittent but to a lesser extent. The restaurant staff were great. The food was average. Breakfast was a buffet which was okay the couple of days we opted for it. We were told the hotel is under new ownership and short managers and staff which was evident when a staff member mopping the floor in the restaurant was asked to go to help strip beds, and when a housekeeping staff had to leave her room-cleaning post to go “work at the spa for an appointment”. There is A LOT of potential for this hotel to be really amazing but we were extremely disappointed in our stay. We have requested a refund of the resort fees but have yet to hear back from the hotel.

Room was very clean, bed super comfortable. View of the lake and having a balcony to sit out on was beautiful! So really that’s all we needed for our little Muskoka getaway. Property is making progress to renovate common areas, reception was beautiful, the restaurant and bar was lovely, but some of the common areas were not just dated but grungy, wall paper in the halls peeling, washroom stalls in the pool area rusted, indoor pool area itself in need of repairs to clean it up, absolutely still usable though and we loved the sauna and jacuzzi hot tub! Staff were great as well. Our whole group raved about the spa services, spa was brand new and beautiful. Disappointed that the continental breakfast that was suppose to be on until 10am was completely closed and packed away at 945.. couldn’t even grab a muffin. So make sure you go early!

The staff were great but the facilities were lacking. Drop ceilings pushes in, mis matched light defusers in the rooms over head lights. A single out lit in the room, an extension cord ran around the room nailed into the base boards. The pool area and restaurant were nice

The free breakfast was not free--the chair in our room needed to go to a dump--the breakfast was less than adequate no butter for toast-- would have been nice to at least have some hard boiled eggs or guest operated waffle maker---spa services were unavailable--the floor was dirty in our room--no facecloth---sorry for the rant---i have never written a bad review for any place we have strayed---THIS IS A RESORT AND IS HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD
