The staff when we first arrived were so friendly. Room was decent, though there was a large gap in between the door and the frame.
Things went downhill our second night there. We were placed on the main floor, down from the lobby. At around midnight, we heard a large amount of people talking loudly. My husband went to the front desk to learn that an engagement party was being held in the meeting room next to our room. Their solution was to close the door to the meeting room. That did not help, as every time the door opened (we assume as someone new was arriving to the party), we would hear a large group yell “AYYYYY”. At around 1:30 am, I’d had enough and went to the front desk again. The woman there told me she would handle it. She came to my room 10 minutes later and informed me that it was unreasonable for them to expect to police the noise level of the party, and instead my husband and I could transfer rooms. So, at 2 am, we were left to gather all of our things and make our way to a room on a different floor. We also found out from that staff member that the room had been booked to be for the party until 3am. This means we were placed in our room with full knowledge of an event that, in our opinion, no hotel should be allowing to be held so far into the evening. The hotel was clean enough, but we felt as if the hotel staff had no care for the guests.
