Great location and staff. Perhaps this is COVID related, but a coffee maker and glasses in the room would have been greatly appreciated. You had to get dressed and go to the front desk for coffee in the morning.

The hotel building is newly renovated. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean. Would definitely come back!

Great location next to train station and walking distance to Warren St. Room decor is current and fun. Bed was super comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, but perhaps a little too casual. Great hotel!

Room wasn’t cleaned once. We were never told we had to request someone to clean the room. When we asked for more towels, the worker said she would tell the front desk we want our room cleaned. Not sure what happened but it was never done. We even had to leave our garbage pails in the hallway

Good sized room, perfectly clean, very nice bathroom with a great walk-in shower. It would be nice to have 2 chairs in the room instead of just 1.

The Wick was the perfect home base for a weekend stay in Hudson. Located just steps from Warren Street, the town's main avenue, The Wick allows very close access to all the best the town has to offer. The facilities are clean and well-kept which is especially important during a pandemic. The front desk staff was lovely (shoutout to Rosie) and gave expert recommendations for what to do in town. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location between the train station and Warren street . Easy 5 minute walk to Warren Street. Close to parks. Dog friendly. Clean rooms. Parking available for free. Clean hotel. Pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend again.

False advertising. King room didnt include a king sized bed and was full of bugs. Staff cleaned but wouldnt switch our room. Try starting a weekend getaway like this. Not worth the price. wont stay here again.

I planned on leaving a great review on the property itself (cool building, comfy bed), but because I am having issues with the billing from The Wick, I can't in good faith leave a positive review. I have 2 issues that I am still dealing with days after my stay, and this has NEVER happened to me before. After checking out of The Wick after a 1-night stay, I have 2 additional charges on my credit card: 1 is a $250 smoking fee that the staff says was charged to me because my room had a "strong smell of smoke" after I checked out. I did not smoke in the room, and now I have no way of proving that I didn't smoke in the room so I have to dispute the charge through my credit card company. The 2nd is a $117 fee that the invoice (received via email after checkout) says is for "Room Chrg - Advance Purchase". I booked & paid for the room in advance through Orbitz, which had a great rate of $150 for the night, but little did I know that on exit The Wick was going to charge me an extra $117 Advance Purchase fee. BEWARE. I thought I was getting a rate of $150 but it actually ended up being $150 $117 taxes = $282 ( the smoking fee), which turned my 1 night stay in Hudson into a very expensive outing.

We almost didn’t stay here because this part of town was scary and the hotel and parking lot looked abandoned. We decided to try it any way and it was the best place we stay in New York. The hotel was very clean, staff very kind, bed and sheets so comfy, the bath towels were new and fluffy, the gym is amazing, and the hotel smelled new. I highly recommend it! Don’t be afraid of the area.

A work in progress. Urban pioneers should consider The Wick. Hard-core suburbanites need not apply. "Desolate" comes to mind when describing the hotel location and Hudson, NY in general. Hudson consists of one street and unless you intend to spend all of your time shopping and eating, one walk on Warren Street will exhaust Hudson. There are one or two places worth visiting on Columbia Street. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the rooms are adequate. Shower water pressure is low and the room lighting is poorly thought out. Your two choices are "Aircraft Landing Lights Intense" or "30 Watt Squint". The spa service prominently displayed on the hotel website in not actually available. Our one meal at the hotel was fine once the proper staff showed up. They are trying hard and I am sure it will improve over time. Our visit was summed up as we were driving away. Two hotel employees were pushing the shuttle service cart uphill after it ran out of battery charge.

In Hudson for an overnight visit and could not have been happier with our experience! Facility is very clean and nicely put together and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating! I've been in the service industry for 40 years and i know not to underestimate the value of excellent service!

super place, excellent staff, great free continental breakfast

I am so sorry to hear of your experience. Please let me know how you make out with the disputed charge and if there is anything we can do on our end to make this better. The advance purchase fee is clearly stated when you purchase from a third party site, that we have no control over. I would love to discuss this further and am available if you would like to give me a call. We always want our guests to leave happy and am so sorry we fell short. Thank you so much for taking the time to give your feedback!
