Checking in was a little difficult since I arrived late and it was already dark. There wasn’t a clear indication of where I needed to go, but the host referred me to Jeff, who was fantastic. He was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area — he alone deserves a star!
The stay itself was okay. The area was beautiful, and the community was very friendly. The place has a lot of potential, but I think it could really benefit from a deep clean and some minor renovations.
When I first walked in, the space was noticeably musty and humid. Opening the windows on a sunny day helped a lot. My biggest issue, however, was the spiders. They were mostly hanging out in the corners, but unfortunately, that included having a few unexpected local companions in the shower.
The sheets and pillows also definitely need to be replaced.
Overall, I think this place has serious potential. Updating the furniture, replacing the bedding with fresh white sheets, and downsizing the extra bed would make a huge difference.
That said, if you’re planning to spend most of your time outdoors and just need a basic, affordable place to have a roof over your head, this is a solid option. The area is beautiful, the community is friendly, and you really can’t beat the price.
