Good food and very nice and friendly people all over the site at Park Royal nice beach but small for the property itself. Even the lady owner is sonice she goes around talk with every body and visit all of her staff every morning!!! So special keep up the good work👌
The hotel is nice and the service is mostly good, but inconsistent (for example, no towels despite a request to the front desk, or a broken phone in the room). The all inclusive concept makes things really easy (free food, free drinks). The food is not great, but the buffet has options for a variety of tastes. The dinner shows are entertaining but kind of funny or corny. A lot of american music was played; at times it didn't feel we were in Mexico. Hotel employees were accommodating, kind and respectful, but not outgoing or smiley -I noticed the locals don't smile much (or at all). Overall, we had a good time.
We have been to different resorts in the past including 5 starts and can tell you the Park Royal Huatulco is the finest of all. Beautiful mountain top location with 4 mins walk to the beach plus they have a very efficient and constant service via golf cart to take you to the beach within 2 mins. They have 2 restaurants. One is on 7th floor by the pool with a georgious view of the beach, mountains and other resorts around. They serve wide of breakfast menu with tea, coffee and juices. Try their omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes, jalapeños, spinach and cheese... you will simply love it... the staff in this restaurant are amazing including the head staffs Rahul and Karina. These people deserves more tips then what I use to pay them in US$. The lunch and specially the dinner menu is fantastic choice of Italian crusian. The second Resturant is a buffet style with 5 start service and food quality. We were there for 8 days and never saw any menu repetitions. There was around 12 to 13 food items plus stir frying live, every lunch time and during dinner time. The choices of food was always 2 or 3 fish based items, couple of chicken based few beef items and rest pork & ham. They have a wide variety of salad selections as well with different kind of breads and desserts... over all food selection and quantity was 10/10. The bar tenders and the servers in both the restaurants were amazing and extremely very friendly.. One time my kids went in for the breakfast after their breakfast hours and they prepared the finest breakfast without any complaints... Of course the drinks part... 10/10 again.. there is no room for improvement... just thumbs up ! The star part of this resort: every night there is a Vegas style performance by their in house artists.. During the day time you can have fun with them while playing beach volleyball or table tennis.. I also love the way they have designed their In Pool Activities.. every morning at noon, there is ‘in pool workouts’ where you follow the instructions of the girls. At the end of these aqua aerobics you get to do massage on your surprise partners and they do it on you... The beach is just perfect, very swim able and lots of activities on the beach as well.. I am posting some pictures as well.. LOVE this Resort.. Park Royal ! And all their management including Mr. Mario in green shirt who is always very helpful!!! The only thing I don’t understand is how come this resort has not been marked as 5 stars yet? It is definitely a 5 STARS Class Resort !
We went in knowing the Park Royal’s location as we have stayed a couple of times at the Dreams in Tangolunda bay, so the resort being built in the mountain and the beach a short walk away was not big deal to us it made for very nice views. It’s a short 5-7 min walk to the beach club where we spent the majority of our time, the 7th floor pool is a nice way to wind down the day of sun & sand (much quieter). All in all we very impressed with the resort, it is very clean and comfortable our room in the 3rd block was not yet renovated but still very nice, huge corner suite with a massive balcony. The staff are amazing, all very eager to please we met so many wonderful kind people staff and guests, truly one of our favourite trips! The food was average at the buffet but we found the 7th floor breakfast and Italian alacart very good with excellent service, thank you Raul, Noe, Wilburth & Alfredo! Drinks also very good quality, sometimes you just have to ask for a better brand of liquor. Once you have a favourite drink the bartenders and servers know what you want and they keep them coming! Again thank you also to the wonderful staff at the Beach Club Alfredo, Jeremias, Esteban, Guillermo, Manuel, Antonio, Noe & Saul. Lastly I would like to thank the young and energetic entertainment staff who always took time to chat even if we didn’t want to partake kudos to Karla, Blanca, Christopher & Monserat. Our maid Eloise also did a fabulous job every day, she is such a kind sweet soul (hugs) from Mike & Brenda! We will be back!
Our entire firm spent the week of December 26th to January 2nd at the Park Royal. The people are terrific. We experienced really good service from Yanira at the front desk, Alma and Gabriela at the buffet, and Carla with the breach activities. All of the people were great, but these people stood out. The hotel is smaller, which we liked, and there was a great mix of Mexican and Canadian tourists, which we also liked.
My wife and I recently enjoyed our 2 week vacation at this lovely All Inclusive Resort. We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts in the past throughout Mexico & the Caribbean and this is our second stay at a Park Royal Resort. We were so impressed by the quality of service, the beautiful grounds, food quality and more that we decided to return and stay at the Park Royal Huatulco. We were very happy with our stay. The staff and the service received was excellent. From housekeeping, shuttle drivers to restaurant staff, all greeted you with a welcome smile and ready to serve you as quickly as possible. The grounds, pool area and rooms were all immaculate. The resort is slowly upgrading all their rooms on their property. We had the pleasure of staying on one of the higher floors which I highly recommend upgrading to. The views from your balcony of the Bay and area are incredible! The food for the size of the resort was good. There's a nice selection to choose from in the buffet, with regular dinner themed evenings. Salad selections were always fresh, along with their bakery items. The assortment of fresh desserts were always something to look forward to as well each evening. For a 3.5 Star Property, you definitely get what you are paying for with 5 Star Service! I highly recommend attending the dining room on the 7th floor, especially for breakfast. We loved attending each morning for a casual sit down breakfast served by friendly staff and the breakfast dishes served were excellent. The resort is located on a hillside, which allows for the spectacular views. Not to worry, there are regular shuttles that will take you to and from your room, to the hotel lobby and across the street to their beach front area where the buffet and main pool are located as well. A very unique property and one I would definitely recommend to all looking for an affordable all inclusive resort. For more detailed information and photos, be sure to visit My Travel Blog.
We stayed at the Park Royal from November 25 - December 2,2017. The resort is very nice and they keep it very clean. We had a very large room with a beautiful view. This resort they are doing some upgrades which is needed. Our phone never did work in our room and we never had warm or hot water the entire time we were there. The beds are okay but could be replaced. Staff on the 7th floor working in the restaurant and pool side, Geraldo, Wilbreth, Karina, Gabby, Alfredo and Noa are excellent people and looked after us so well. Thank you to all of you for your hard work! All the staff were excellent and always had a smile and were so very kind. The one draw back for us was the time share people. Very persistent that we were going to look at the program they had to offer. They actually came looking for us up on the 7th floor our last day. They wouldn't even let me speak to my travel rep while we stayed there. I would go back to this resort for a week again. It is a nice place to go and just lay back and relax for a week. A great way for tours is with Filip 958-117-6367. It is like a national Geographic day with him. He speaks English and you will have the best day ever with him.
We returned from Park Royal, Huatulco a couple of days ago and had a wonderful time! This was the second time at this resort because we liked it so much (we have never returned to a resort for a second time before this). On arrival we were welcomed warmly by Delia at the concierge desk. She asked us what we would like to drink and brought us our drinks from the bar. She was very helpful throughout our 2 weeks at Park Royal, always greeting us with a smile. Her English is excellent (not all staff spoke English well, although all tried their best and were friendly). Our Junior Suite was very spacious and clean with a huge balcony that had 2 lounge chairs and a beautiful view of the bay. The maid service was wonderful! There are two pools, each with a shallow pool for kids. The pool on the 7th level was very quiet and lounge chairs were always available (at some resorts you have to set your alarm and go out early to reserve your chairs). There was a bar next to the pool with friendly service - often they would come around to ask if we wanted something to drink. The other pool was down by the beach and was busier with music, activities and bar and snacks! The beach was beautiful but the water became deep within a few steps in and with a fairly strong undertow so few people swam and would definitely not advise for young children. The food at Park Royal was quite good but not gourmet! The beef was occasionally a little tough but there were always pork, chicken and fish dishes that were usually very good. There is a buffet down by the beach which has a stage with dancing/singing shows on 5 of 7 days. It was nice to stay at our table for the show and have service for drinks. There was also an Italian restaurant which had very good food and service but I wouldn't recommend the ribs or steak. The chicken, fish, pastas and pizza were delicious. It also had a very nice, fresh salad bar! Our best meals of the day, were the made to order breakfasts upstairs (Italian by night). We were given excellent service by Wilberth who was very friendly and greeted us each morning and remembered our preferences. Karina was also very sweet and helpful - always smiling. We could take our time with breakfast and look at the beautiful view enjoying a delicious breakfast with a cappucino and lovely fresh fruit topped with coconut! The entertainment staff was wonderful. They put on great shows on stage at the buffet and during the day did a great job organizing activities for the guests and mingling with them. Monsi was so sweet - she sat and chatted with us at the beach and her dancing was amazing as were the other dancers. There was a shuttle service from each level to the lobby and beach club/pool/buffet. It came regularly but you could call ahead as well to ensure faster service. You would arrive at the beach within a few minutes and the ride was actually fun and you could chat with other guests while riding. I would make one suggestion, however, to the Hotel: replace the uncomfortable plastic lounge chairs by the beach and pool near beach. The upstairs pool and balconies had comfy lounge chairs. We highly recommend this resort/hotel.
I recently toured the Park Royal hotel. It is set on a hillside with gorgeous views of the ocean. The hotel offers transportation all around the property with little open air trucks. They take you to the restaurants and to the beach club. This property is a solid 3.5 star property. I had breakfast at the property and it was delicious. The rooms were spacious and clean. The balconies on the rooms were very large. The pool area offers beautiful views of the ocean. The beach club is across the street from the property. You can walk or there is a shuttle service. There is a nice restaurant, pool and washrooms located at the beach. I would recommend this property. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Nice intimate settings at the pools, beach, theater, and restaurants. Good selection is average. Rooms are huge, with large patios, but some need updating. The activity staff is the best! Especially Monserrat!
