The Condo is Great - Be Prepared for the Property
I want to start with what I liked: The unit is very spacious and the AC works great. Beds are comfortable and showers and toilets work well. Everything was very clean. Some minor maintenance issues, but those can be overlooked. You are renting a home and not a hotel after all. The property has ocean access - not a real beach. But for walks on the beach, it was fine. We did that a lot. Local fishermen have boats in the water. That was fun to watch.
Some surprises:
1) I found the unit searching for 3 bedroom units. This is not a 3 bedroom unit. This unit seems to be listed twice and I found the 3 bed listing. But, it's a 2 - can't say it enough. Double-checked the reservation. says 3. All that said - we enjoyed the unit.
2) The complex was a near ghost town. Other than the security guard and an occasional car - we saw no-one. No problem if you are concerned about noise - there will be NONE.
3) Many of the pool facilities were not working. We did arrive late (after 5 each day) and they may have been running during the day, but not when we were ready to relax by the pool. One pool was filled with murky water and fish.
Bottom Line - the price nearly justifies the experience. Again, this is not a hotel. You are renting someones home/condo - so go in with your eyes open. The unit is well kept and we have no complaints on that front. We spent most of our time out and about anyway. At night we relaxed in the unit and slept very well in the beds. Just a bit more cozy than we planned due to the number of rooms.
Would I rent it again? Not sure - I guess I would in a pinch - the price is decent.
