Staybridge Suites Houston IAH - Beltway 83.0 out of 5.0

I have to say, the outside of this hotel is landscaped very nice, but the neighborhood is industrial. The room I rented had one king bed, and this room was beautiful, a little smallish, but very functional. I would definitely stay there again. Was close to freeway, but I did not hear any noise. Convenient for travelling. Excellent breakfast, and staff is very friendly.
Hotel is okay for short business trips, but not for longer stays. I found the hotel definitely not a 4 star, but more like a 3 star hotel. Rooms where okay and staff was very friendly and helpful. Found the breakfast not that good.
A wonderful spacious suite close to the airport at a very reasonable price. We only stayed for one night but it would be a great place for an extended stay. Service was great and breakfast was great too. The only issue was that their airport shuttle stops running at 10:30 pm. When I made the reservation online I included our flight arrival time (11:00 pm) and noted that we would be requesting the shuttle. When we arrived at IAH we called and requested the shuttle and we were told about the 10:30 cut off time for the shuttle. It would have been nice if someone had looked at the request on our reservation and let us know the shuttle would not be available for us. We might have planned differently as a result.
Stayed overnight for Houston wedding. New and very clean. We had a nice large 2 bedroom that worked great for my husband and I and our two daughters. Free parking. Free breakfast. Desk staff friendly and helpful. I would recommend.
Spent 14 days here while on special assignment to Houston, TX to work at IAH airport. Originally they assigned me a ground floor room however I asked for higher floor as I needed a quiet room to sleep at various times during the day or night. Got a 4th floor room and hardly ever heard a thing and I was sleeping several different time periods during the day/night. Breakfast area had full breakfast with eggs, bacon/sausage, fresh waffles, yogurt, fruit, rolls, bagels, toast, juices and coffee. Regular, decaf, tea and hot water was available free 24 hours a day and I used it regularly. Nice no cost laundry (except for soap) and there was a room with exercise equipment. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Had stove, refrigerator, and microwave in room. Parking lot had security guard at night which was nice. My 2 weeks in this hotel were very satisfactory and I would definitely stay again if I had to work in the area.
Anywhere you stay in Houston is a long way from anywhere else so we chose this hotel because it was within striking distance of the airport where we had to go eventually. Aside of the airport or nearby businesses there’s little other reason to be there and although there are other hotels close by and under construction, there’s little in the way of decent dining options in the vicinity. The good: this is a relatively new property so it’s squeaky clean and pleasantly devoid of any patina of age. The front desk staff were slick and polite as were the other service staff that we came across during our stay. Our double queen one BR suite was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Almost everything was there including a fully equipped kitchen and it all worked as expected. The bathroom was of adequate – but hardly generous – proportions and it worked well for us. The included wifi worked well on all our devices and there is plenty of on-site parking. The mid-week evening ‘Social Gathering’ offers drinks and food that could supplant dinner if pressed. The not so good: there is no in-room safe. Although some distance away the perpetual noise of Beltway 8 penetrates the building even with the windows closed so it’s not well insulated on that count. Which also means that, depending upon wind direction, the traffic competes with noise from aircraft taking off from George Bush Intercontinental. For the time being an adjoining construction site adds to this unholy racket. The included breakfast is the usual forgettable IHG DIY production line mush, mostly taken on styrofoam plates – or crockery mid-week (but not always) and a strange coalition of floppy plastic cutlery that self-destructs when you most need it and proper metal knives. Clearly whoever made the decision to offer this appalling tableware has never tried eating off – or with – it themselves.
I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and enjoyed the stay. They offer good breakfast and taste is also is very decent. The rooms are clean and bug free. We just enjoyed having good time near pool. Thanks Staybridge for good service.
This is my first stay at a Staybridge Hotel and my brand loyalty to Hyatt and Marriott has now been challenged. This is a very nice property; I'll stay at others to evaluate the chain as a whole. The hotel is very close to the Sam Houston Parkway but my room was on the rear of the building so there was no road noise. It's convenient to IAH, and I stayed only one night prior to an early flight. The room is very large, but still cozy. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows perfect. The desk and chair were just fine. The kitchen had everything you could want. All the dishes, flatware, cookware, etc. you need. Nothing was missing and everything in the room was in perfect condition. The bathroom has a separate closet/sink area you pass thru prior to entering the separate shower/toilet area (which has a door). The shower was very nice - roomy, tiled and like new. When I checked in the staff could not have been more warm and friendly. Not over the top, but natural. I reiterate - I will look for Staybridge Suites the next time I travel, especially for a longer visit as the amenities are well suited for a stay of 3, 5, 7 days or more. Very, very nice.
