Decided not to stay after finding out elevator wasn’t working and only available room was up on the third floor definitely not convenient for a 78 year old to have to carry luggage 3 flight of stairs. Also the place smelled bad and floors were dirty.

Breakfast was not as advertised. No hot fresh food like pictured/said on reservation the bagels were hard as rocks and not edible. The pool was “open” but a disgusting green color. Asked for more towels and they only had ONE available. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Check-in and out was easy. Mostly disappointed about the breakfast.

In the description of the room, while booking, it was mentioned that there would be free breakfast in the morning. They did provide breakfast. However, there was no protein like eggs, chicken, sausages etc. which would normally be included in any breakfast.

Tv wasn’t working right. Roof was leaking and After using my debit card and handing her my id. Few hours after my card was used to purchase a gift card. Thank god my bank blocked that purchase and called me ..So I will never and I mean ever stay there again.

Our stay was comfortable. The hotel was pretty old and carpet was dirty. The hotel was very accommodating and the price was reasonable. The statement of the “15 Pool” was very misleading… we weren’t sure if they had 15 pools or if the pool was 15 feet…

The biggest issue was the hot water. You had to turn on the water for +5 min for it to get hot. After that it was fantastic showers. The room was large and great. Location was convenient for everything we were doing that week.

The property itself wasn't the issue it was the rooms.Every time I stay at a hotel I always check the sheets and that's exactly what I did and come to realize there were blood on my sheets and my friends on top of that the drain in our tub and bathroom sink was clogged up and when I got home I ended up having to go to the emergency room because I was lucky enough to get eaten up by bed bugs. 😡😡😡😡

Stay at Grand Aspen Hotel in LaPorte,Texas

We were very disappointed with our two night stay.The room had a wet,musty smell.The toilet wouldn't flush.Housekeeping never cleaned the room,emptied trash,made the bed,refilled coffee supplies or picked up the dirty towels and gave us clean ones.We had to go to the front desk and they gave us some clean ones.It was advertised to have several pools,including a swim up bar,and there was only one pool,very small,and very dirty and green.We did not even get in it.On a good note,the breakfasts were excellent in size and presentation and was fresh and hot.The mattress was very comfortable.Access to the hotel was easy and very close to the Interstate.I do not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.Also,no ice as the machine was out of order.
