The beds were very comfortable. The room was very quiet. The heat worked well and the WiFi was really good, maybe the best I have ever found in any hotel Anywhere. For a good night's sleep this is a good choice. The location is a bit odd, located right in front of a trailer park and not actually on the main street. The breakfast left quite a bit to be desired and the service was really good by one staff member and not so good by the other. But for a good sleep the price is good.
Appearance of outside and inside was clean and attractive. We were greeted and made to feel welcome. Room was clean, well appointed, soft towels, beds comfortable. Pool and hot tub area clean and enjoyable. Breakfast area was clean and good choices of waffles, cold cereal, pastries, fruit and a meat. We would recommend this place to stay while in Hot Springs!
This hotel was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was quiet and relaxing, the staff was very kind and welcoming and the room was very clean and organized. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast they had to offer in the morning. The hotel is placed in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood next to a river about walking distance. If you’re looking to relax, this is the place to be. There are also a few fast food places about walking distance. We would highly recommend this hotel to any of our friends planning on staying in Hot Springs, SD and we would gladly come back!
This was our first visit to this area, and mid-April is obviously a very quiet time around the area. This hotel is off the beaten path, and we were a little concerned that the GPS was way off, but the hotel in a residential area. Check in was friendly and very quick. We were asked if we preferred the first or second floor, and since one person in our party is not able to navigate steps and there is no elevator, we took a room on the first floor and said all we wanted was a quiet room. The room was clean and the only issue we encountered is that the air conditioner/heating unit is extremely noisy. We finally had to just shut it off. Other than that we didn't hear a thing all night, which was just what we wanted. The bathroom is just a toilet and shower - the sink is outside of the bathroom. One change I would recommend is to install a small shelf in the bathroom to hold the toiletries. Only after getting in the shower do you realize that the shampoo, soap, etc., is located outside the bathroom as are the washcloths. The beds are comfortable, the internet works well, and there are a lot of channels on the TV. The free breakfast included hard boiled eggs, some kind of sausage links in a fry pan, waffles, dry cereal, toast and juice. We did not use the pool area so I can't comment on that. They had a large variety of informational brochures available about the area. We couldn't find anyone at the front counter when trying to check out, and after ringing the bell at the desk and waiting quite some time we finally just put the keys under the counter. We were not comfortable with this situation as they have you sign a statement when checking in that they charge you for missing keys (yet there was no one to take the keys when checking out). I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the Baymont in Hotsprings for Easter! They were fantastic! They didn’t even mind us hiding Easter eggs from one room to the other for the littles to find. We had a nice trail that led them to their Easter baskets that the bunny left! Hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in with great Staff! Thanks again! Our stay was definitely memorable!
It was off season so many things were closed in Hot Springs, SD. However, our receptionist was able to suggest a place to eat that was open. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was nice but a bit small. The pool area was good but the water was so cold! My grandsons had vetoed driving to Evan's Plunge, and they had a blast, but I didn't swim much because of the cold water. The continental breakfast included a waffle maker and hard boiled eggs. Everyone enjoyed it!
The Baymont Inn in Hot Springs SD is a very nice and clean hotel. My room was superb and was well maintained. They have a really nice pool and hot tub area as well as a very nice hot breakfast in the morning. The staff is very nice and respectful and are helpful in every way. I would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel! The rooms were very clean and nice. The staff was extremely helpful, even offering us a quieter room when a big group was soon arriving. We were very appreciative. We brought our dog, and there was a very large outside area for him, and a beautiful walking path just behind the hotel. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we slept great! We will definitely stay there again.
I decided to book with booking.com to try them out. After a busy and long day we got to hotel. Notice it was across from a trailer park and poor lighting in parking lot. Went to check in and the lady wanted to charge me more than booking.com's price. After a 20 minute dicussion and a call to her manager she stuck with the price of booking.com. Had to air out our room. Corner of wall looked smashed in. Went to get ice...bugs in the ice! The only decent thing to say is the beds were half way comfortable.
Very helpful staff. I was on crutches, they made every attempt to make it easy for me. Opening doors, close access to the outside parking. It had snowed earlier, but their sidewalks & parking was clear. I'll stay there next time.
