The staff was very sweet and hard working. As far as the room. The lamp and clock next to the bed didnt work. No problem. But, the bed. That mattress has got to be at least 20 years old. It was like sleeping in a bowl. Very creeky as well. Kinda grossed me out. I dont know who is the maintenence person. But they REALLY need to do better. Especially for the price we paid per night. I would have greatly appreciated a decent bed.

Although the sheets were clean the room was not. The free breakfast was not edible. The fact that they did NOT have an elevator needs to be made abundantly clear at booking and on your site. Elderly or impaired people would have difficulty.

Small-town comfort and friendliness

We really enjoyed our stay here, and the staff is awesome! They all definitely wear several hats: check-in, housekeeping, cook, etc. The room was clean and comfortable. We’d stay here again!

I was at this hotel for a family reunion. I booked an accessible room and was put on the second floor. I checked in and was told they had no accessible rooms available as they were fully booked. The first room I was given was still occupied. The staff spent close to half an hour on the phone with the manager before finally finding me a room. The clerk said they always have issues with Expedia not giving them all of the details about which type of room is booked. Since it is one of the only choices in the town for a room, I guess I am stuck either traveling 50 miles or staying at the hotel again.

Mark at the front desk made this trip so much more enjoyable. The hotel was almost completely booked and he made it happen so we could spend one more night in town. We were amazed with how clean the entire hotel was and felt so comfortable!

Great place around to stay in my opinion.

I have stayed several times over the years and I love this place. Given it's rural location it's a diamond in the rough. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are probably the best "hotel free-breakfasts" I've come across in all my travels over the last 10 years. The only downside is the trucks that use engine breaking to slow down as they come into town. I do like the proximity to the Family Dollar Store next to the hotel.
