Amazing stay in Topsail

We had an amazing vacation this week. This home is perfect - there were 9 of us in total with a range of ages (kids aged 4 - 14). We were all able to stay and sleep here comfortably. The house was spotless and it had everything! And I mean everything! Laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and all the kitchen necessities you needed to cook at home. The bed were very comfortable. The owners were responsive and kind. We would highly recommended this place to stay and honestly cannot wait to go back. The area was beautiful- beaches were amazing and plenty of places to eat and entertain you.

Great spot for family gathering!

The house was in a great location - across the street from beach access, with a heated pool for when you’re not in the mood for salt and sand. There are lots of great food options nearby for cooking or eating out. We had a great time!

Annual Family Vacation

Our annual family vacation has traditionally taken place at one of Mark and Trudy’s beach homes. Over the years we have built traditions and made memories in Surf City and their homes. We recommend anyone who wants a small home for their family, with close beach access, a pool and a personal touch from Mark and Trudy.

Perfect family destination

We had an awesome time on our annual family getaway. Our group consisted of adults and young children. This was our first time staying here, but hopefully not our last. The house is exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. Super convenient to the public beach access & private pool- what else do you need?! The pool/beach/outdoor toys were a fun bonus that the whole family enjoyed. It was so convenient to have extra chairs, floats, etc. The home owner had great communication and gave very clear instructions. I highly recommend staying here.

Loved our stay!

This place is very well appointed. Owners are easily obtainable but not overbearing. Loved the one floor plan and layout. The place would seem small based on the square footage but it totally worked for 8 adults and 2 children. Pool outside is awesome. Lots of equipment to be used. How well this is equipped made it easy for us since we had 2 couples flying in. Made it a lot less to pack.

Wonderful property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was better stocked than any other property we've stayed at over the years. There were so many things for the outdoors: bikes, tons of boogie boards, rafts for the pool, beach towels. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was especially nice that there was enough paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen soaps to last the week so that we didn't have to worry about it. The pool was very refreshing and there was plenty of seating. It was so nice being so close to the beach. We appreciate how clean the entire house was. The owners have thought of everything! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Relaxing week

This is our second time staying at Shorebreak, and we loved it! Easy walk to the beach across the street, and a beautiful, clean pool in the backyard for when you need a break from the ocean. The home itself is well appointed, very clean, and felt like home away from home! Very close to town as well. Highly recommend this home!

Best Ever

Beautiful, we’ll maintained house - every inch of the house (indoors and out) is maximized for utility and comfort. Absolutely the most well-appointed and well-stocked of any vacation hours we’ve ever rented - every staple already on hand. Great location, great place, great owners, etc!

Everything you could ask for at Top Sail

We had an amazing vacation celebrating a sweet 16 and family. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. I recommend this home highly. The living area was clean and they thought of everything from games to cooking needs. We enjoyed the pool , finding shark teeth, long walks and biking. The ping pong table was wonderful. This house was beyond our expectations.

You’ll love Shore Break on Topsail island

Lovely home, very clean and well stocked to guarantee a stress free and comfortable stay. The beach access is across the street and the owners have thought of all the little comforts that make a stay at the beach a happy one. Thank you, we will be back!

Trudy is an awesome host!

First thought is I would definitely recommend booking this house with Trudy, as it was perfect for us. We were looking for a typical beach vacation with a location that was almost beach front but also included a private pool. We had a family of two children and 4 adults stay for a week. The beach was less than a 2 minute walk from the house, as the access point was just across the street. The town activities like food, fun, shopping etc was either a 5 minute drive south or 5 minute drive north depending on where you wanted to go. The house itself was very accommodating and it was exactly as described. The check in process was easy and the checkout process was easy and the short list of 8-10 items was reasonable. All four of the bedrooms were nice as they had basic furnishings but still roomy enough for luggage, pack and play, etc. The living room/dining room/kitchen was nice because of the open concept and H style house setup. There was a screened in patio deck out front, and then an uncovered deck out back. The neighbors on both sides were around but no bother at all. Overall the house had mostly everything we needed to get going including most kitchen items for cooking a variety of meals at the house. For beach days, there were plenty of chairs, kids toys, boards, a wagon, etc. For the backyard pool there were also plenty of floating devices and toys. In house entertainment included smart TV's, puzzles, games, books, etc.

Great memories made.

The property was everything we hoped for, and then some! Everything you could want for a stay at the beach was there. Even had a set of cornhole that we took advantage of. The owners literally thought of everything that a family could want to make for a worry free vacation. It was simply great.

Great Place to Stay

This property is very nice! Plenty of amenities, kitchen well stocked, beach chairs, pool floats, towels and lines provided. I’m a quiet location and just a short walk to the public beach access. Great place for a home away from home.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. We loved the location. The beach access is very close by. We loved the pool and sitting on the screened in porch listening to the ocean waves. Our dogs had a great time too! The only downside is that the yard is not fully fenced along the thatch and trees. But, we were able to make it work so that our escape artist dog didn't get out. We highly recommended this vacation rental. We would love to come back again.

Absolutely loved this place!

Family beach trip with small kids and grandparents. Beach access is right across the street. You can see the ocean from the front porch. Pool was perfect for a post beach afternoon swim. Several restaurants and gift shops in Surf City. Lots of fun at family bingo night at the Topsail Historical Society. House is well kept and as experienced beach trippers we highly recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Just the Vacation Needed

From arrival to departure ShoreBreak was the ideal vacation! Trudy and Mark were super indulging hosts with our questions, requests, all of their amenities and accommodations. The pool was a delightful addition to the house and its proximity to the beach. The house was serenely decorated, SUPER clean, cozy, and created the perfect at-home atmosphere. Shorebreak had EVERYTHING we needed, from EVERY toiletry imaginable, to bed linens, bath and beach towels, beach chairs, bikes, pool toys, boogie boards and even cornhole, let alone all the cooking utensils, plates and serve ware we needed for breakfasts, lunches and a few dinners 'at home'. Their recommendations and excitement about the island not only made us equally excited but were perfect for us - 4 teenage boys with my husband and I. We attempted to experience as much as we could but with the luxuries and location of this amazing home, we will need to come back for more of Topsail! 💕 Can't wait until our next visit to Shorebreak!

Great Vacation & Amazing Beach House

This was our first time staying in Surf City, we typically have stayed on the North end of the Island. What a nice quite location it was. The beach house was fantastic. Very clean, spacious, well-kept and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the fact that the owners provided linens, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, kitchen basics and beach towels. The storage room was filled with everything needed for a day at the beach. We were even greeted with a welcoming package from Trudy & Mark. Access to the beach was right across the street which made it so easy with the grandkids. The pool was great especially the shallow end which was great for the grandkids and the screened in porch was a plus for eating dinner and relaxing in the evenings. Trudy was very attentive and accommodating to all our needs. She was quick to respond and even provided recommendations for dining and places to take the grandkids. We really appreciated Trudy & Mark's hospitality, they truly thought of everything. I am so glad we chose ShoreBreak for our vacation! We were so impressed with the entire experience we have already booked our vacation for next year. I believe we have found a new beach home for our family to vacation at. Thanks again Trudy & Mark!

Perfect Accomodations

This property delivered on all points...comfort, fully stocked kitchen, games, heated pool and close proximity of the beach. It was the perfect setting for our family especially with toddlers. The owners were very responsive and helpful!
