Staff is wonderful, always ready to assist; room is comfortable; pool and surrounding beach area is really nice, upgrades needed to bathroom.

First trip to Barbados, and choice of this hotel was a spur of the moment decision. But I must say it was a very classy resort, with first class service. Beach was lovely and towel services were prompt, liked the fact that towels were waiting on the chairs and lounges each morning, no lugging of towels. Abundant water sports and tours available on premises. Food was also very good, liked the fact that full buffet breakfast included each day, as I was not looking for three meals a day. I could make it to dinner on the breakfast. The dinner food was excellent, although there are world class restaurants nearby, within a 5-10 minute cab ride. Be prepared, however, to spend $200-$250 per person with wine at a few of these outside the resort primo restaurants. Overall loved the resort and would definitely return.

Very comfortable resort without any annoying added charges or unexpected fees. Great meals and drinks and good snorkeling off beach. Very easy going helpful staff and manager who knew our names after the first day. Plan to go back. Recommend using taxis rather than renting. Final cost is about the same and not having to drive on left removes a lot of anxiety.

The management seemed to want to please, but the staff seemed overwhelmed or just simply didn't care. I just filled the hotel's own review and told them that they should have asked us how things were going while we were there, not AFTER. They could have made things better. while we were there. They kept saying "No Problem", to simple requests like ice, but then would not complete the task. I didn't ask for too many things, but I learned quickly that they will not do them! 90% of the guests are from England/ Europe and the place is for a low key laid back vacation. This is true of the whole country. They are not really geared towards the "aggressive" Americans. The water sports are very minimal. This is not a place for kids unless they like sitting around doing nothing. The concierge is accommodating when you ask, but they did NOT offer too many excursions and I am not even sure if many are available. The whole island is low key. In other words, the facilities are super nice, but you have to make your own good time because they are not very helpful. It's not that they don't want to be helpful. It's just that they are geared toward old retirees from U.K., and not aggressive for making a resort a hopping tourist attraction. And at these prices, I expected them to be more attentive. By the way, forget the "Beauty Center"! Also, the food is second to third rate. It's good, but just good! I think they like visitors from U.K. better, which is also true of the country

We would go back in a heart-beat. We have never been treated so nicely by a hotel and their staff. C.C. is truly amazing. The pool and beach are spectacular, and the room was beautiful and clean. We had the full meal plan and loved it. The food is excellent and the restaurants are romantic and so scenic. We hope to come back some day to C.C.

We loved our time at the Colony Club on the West Coast of Barbados. The beach was beautiful and the staff was friendly but not overly so. We will definately return.

Staff was unfriendly. Photos are photoshopped. Not the vacation we were expecting.

We stayed in a pool-side room for five nights during the off season. Hotel was staffed well and service was still on point. Our friends stayed in an ocean view room. Both rooms were excellent in there own way. Rooms were spacious, clean and updated.

Very nice hotel, service was friendly. Advanced warning - in the off season (May-October), there is no concierge on duty, so the front desk folks try to help you with reservations, etc. They are not very good at it! But otherwise, very nice for families and couples.

Romantic getaway at the southernmost caribbean island, Colony Club Hotel in Barbados sits on a pristine west coast beach perfect for relaxing and baking in the sun; the most delicious ocean breezes and bajan food;dreamy sunsets;spacious suites with spa amenities(robes, slippers and full line of quality bath products). A shining gem among the string of Elegant Hotels of Barbados!

Friendly staff. Clean premises, however not particularly modern compared with the sister hotel Tamarind. Food was terrible. Loved having the additional sun bed on patio.

Loved the hotel, location on inland & staff. Beautiful setting, great beach with complimentary water sports & a swimming dock. Lovely sunset deck with great food & drinks. Comfortable rooms & beds, clean with TV & ipod dock. Business center has 2 computer terminals with spotty free internet access, but workable. Easy to rent a car & tour the island, but bring a good map!
