Wow an intriguing place to stay with lots of quirky features. If you stay in hotels for work then this is the place for you - it’s totally the opposite to corporate sterile and samey. Extremely comfortable rooms, such friendly owners who work exceptionally hard with their team to make it a memorable stay. So much nicer than the places in the heart of town, it’s a ten min walk to the wharf. We stayed in the verandah room where you can enjoy deliciously sourced Tasmanian breakfast goodies on the verandah at a time to suit you. Literally is Tasmanian magic. Home baked bread each day and homemade banana bread in the afternoon too. The Melle beauty products are to die for - the shower gel and moisturiser are fabulous and again all Tasmanian. I soooo want to come back. Thanks Corinda.
We had a wonderful week staying in the Servants Quarters. It was nice to have a bit of space. We walked into Hobart which was closer than it looked. Walking back took a little longer though as we weren't as fit as we thought. The bedroom and lounge is upstairs and kitchen dining, bathroom downstairs. For those who love modern and perfection it probably isn't for you. But for others who love rustic, antiques and don't mind a few gaps and creaks in the floorboards, I'm sure you will love it. The owners are very welcoming. It is very cosy and homely. Ample Breakfast provisions were provided for first night. Spotlessly clean. It is one of our favourite places.
We really enjoyed staying at Corinda Collection Julian, the host is very friendly & caring. The room was clean, unique & full of antique furnture. Loved the comforable bed & had a very good sleep. They also provide homemade chemical free shampoo, conditioner & body wash. They also have the most beautiful garden, very well maintained. Highly recommend sitting in the balcony & watch down the beautiful garden & take a deep breath in the fresh air. Breakfast was also very nice, had a freshly cooked scramble egg lol. Overall i highly recommend this place to whom want to experience a quality service.
Corinda is a unique luxury Hobart experience - it is beautifully and authentically decorated with a true respect for the historical value of the property without being "oldy worldy". This is truly unique in Hobart and in one of Hobart's most interesting locations on the Glebe looking out over the city. Corinda has views of both the River Derwent and Mt Wellington and is not only close to Hobart's waterfront but the North Hobart hub of restaurants and cafes. The full breakfast was absolutely delicious and every detail has been thought of, including the well stocked bar (full of Tasmanian gins and whiskies) in the beautiful drawing room. Thank you for an amazing stay and experience.
Great B&B style, but with astounding gardens. Julian the host, is extremely helpful and friendly. A little bit out of the way, and on higher ground, so you need some stamina to walk back up if you travel down into main town. (but uber available !!) Quaint, quirky and relaxing
Greeted by the owner upon arrival, he guided us to the room and gave us an introduction of the room facilities. There is a booklet with some local tips and room history on the tea table for your information. Please do not miss the amazing and impressing garden view from the room windows! P.S. The woodfire is not warm enough but they has installed a heater so overall the room is still warm :)
We've just spent five nights at Corinda's Cottages and didn't want to leave. We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage, which is on the other side of the garden from the main house. The cottage was perfect. On the ground floor was the sitting room, with wood stove, a dining area and the kitchen. Along a short hallway was a washer/dryer and the bathroom. The bathroom had a spa tub with a rain-shower shower head. I really miss that shower, as ours in Sydney is unsuited for anyone over five feet. The bedroom was upstairs with windows looking out over the garden and the city beyond. Now here's one possible problem...the stairs to the bedroom are steep and winding and the bath is downstairs, so any middle of the night excursions could be a worry. However, we kept the light on in the hallway and it wasn't an issue. We had a rental car, which we were able to park in the drive by the cottage. The car was great for drives outside of Hobart, but we walked everywhere when we went out in the city. The waterfront was an easy 10 - 15 minute walk. If you don't feel like walking home after dinner, a cab is less than $10. We both loved our time in the Gardener's Cottage and will certainly stay there again.
Think about 19th century England. Now think that you can experience this ambience thousands of miles away, and in another place and time. Corinda's Cottage in Hobart, Tasmania is probably the most unique and step back in time cottage with luscious gardens, and a variety of room designs where you can choose to stay at a typical English country cottage or a horse's barn setting, among other designs. Breakfast is provided for the first day, uniquely you cook your own breakfast in the cottage. A great experience and feel to the overall stay. Friendly, family-oriented staff. Highly recommend this accommodation!
Historical property restored, furnished and decorated to the highest standards with amazing attention to quality and detail. Generous provisions included for your stay in the cottages. Professional and friendly hosts. Leafy and private while being conveniently close to Hobart CBD and waterfront.
Having just spent 2 nights at Corindas Cottages, we have hardly stopped talking about this beautiful accommodation. We were booked into the servants cottage. Well stocked kitchen, large bedroom with comfortable bed, large bathroom with shower and bathtub and of the course the beautiful manicured gardens. It was a 10 minute walk into the city and for those not wanting the walk back up the hill - a $12 taxi fare. The attention to detail is second to none and the place is a credit to Matthew and Wilmar. Recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hobart.
