The hostel is in a great location within easy walking distance of Elizabeth street restaurants, the waterfront, Salamanca place, etc. The private room I stayed in was one of the nicest I have seen at any hostel. But it was the staff that really sets it apart. They went above and beyond what was expected, helpful, courteous, professional but very friendly. The staff is why I give the hostel an unequivocal 10 rating.

An overnight stay, YHA Hobart was well located, short walk from the airport bus, across the road from a great bakery for quick breakfast and offered a good rate for a Friday night stay. Room was simple but squeaky clean with tea and coffee provided.
