Excellent, well located, value for money hotel.

Good value for money hotel situated in a quiet street but in easy walking distance to main squares. It would be advisable not to be in this location during the lunar new year celebrations. The terrace bar and restaurant were closed ue to this fact. Apart from this it was excellent.

Great hotel

Location of hotel is great as many of tourist sights are within ten minutes by foot. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is decent but could do with more vegetarian options or at least have veggies cooked without fish sauce! I would stay here again if in Saigon as it was affordable but service was good.

Neat, clean and Central

Three staff from Bell boys, receptionist and restaurant staff were attentive, polite and respectful. It was a pleasure staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it to any traveler to Saigon. Keep it up May Hotel. You have a little gem.

An Adequate, but Not Outstanding, Hotel

The reoccurring theme at the May Hotel was a luxurious exterior that, when examined further, leaves a bit more to be desired. The hotel appears grand and luxurious, but that it saw it's best days maybe 20 years ago. Rooms are nice, but small compared to other hotels we have stayed in throughout Vietnam. The breakfast that was offered was fine, a good mix of local and international dishes that we've come to expect at hotels like this that cater to an international crowd. We were greeted promptly at the front desk by a bell boy who was happy to take out luggage, but he lingered uncomfortably trying to sell us on excursions from the hotel and waiting for a tip. We could not manage to make our room phone make local calls and, when we went to the front desk to try to make a call, they again strongly encouraged us to book our excursion with them. Overall, our experience at May Hotel was fine. The room was in good condition, the staff was able to flag us a cab and fulfill all the basic duties of a hotel. But, after staying at places in Vietnam that were less expensive and had much better service, I would recommend you shop around a bit more if you're hoping to be wowed by your hotel stay.

Very centrally located

For mid to lower priced accommodation May hotel suited us fine. Staff were friendly and helpful, we paid extra for a late checkout, organised a tour through them, breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from. The room was neat and clean, the shower in our room was interesting as it was over a bath, but, it was nice to be able to have a bath.
