Despite the assistance of Google Maps, we walked past this hotel 3 times before working out this was in fact the place! They have painted and re-clad the front, and it's now gleaming white, instead of pink :-) Once we worked this out, we checked in. I must say, some previous reviews gave me misgivings, but we decided to take a chance (we had found a good deal online) and this hotel proved to be just fine. The lobby is pretty tired looking, but the reception staff are friendly and helpful. Our street-facing room was spacious, tidy, & well-appointed, but smelled strongly of an air freshener which we promptly put out on our balcony. The air con is quiet and efficient, the bed comfy, the shower hot & with good pressure, & the flatscreen TV had good reception, with plenty of English movie / TV channels. Wifi on our floor was a bit patchy, but the same password works throughout, so the signal may be better if you connect to adjacent floors. The rooms facing the street have excellent views of the Bitexco ("Stark") Tower, but the cost of this is quite a bit of street noise. Ask for the other side or use earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The only thing I can fault with the room is the mouldy grout in the shower/bath. An easy fix with some grout cleaner. Breakfast upstairs on the 10th floor is pretty good: omelettes / eggs to order, several Asian rice / meat / veg dishes, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, salads, cereal, yogurt, juices, tea and quite nice coffee. It's also a restaurant through the day. The location is quite handy, and most of the sights we visited were within a 10-20 minute walk. An Uber from the airport cost 6USD and took about 30 minutes. A perfectly fine stay & we'd stay again.

Was here tagging along for a work trip. One colleague left after 1 night to stay in a hostel, paying out of own pocket rather than stay another night. Wife and I stuck it out - just somewhere to sleep, right? Kinda. For the price you can do much better. MENTIONED IN PREVIOUS REVIEWS - poor breakfast (just go to a local restaurant and eat better food for a fraction of the cost) - no a/c in the hallways or elevator (it's pretty gross) - very dated (oh yeah, no one cares about this place, you can bet on that) - the safe doesn't work well (I had problems, they asked if I had forgotten my number, I hadn't, noted the previous reviews that had similar problems) - great location NOT MENTIONED IN PREVIOUS REVIEWS - mould on the walls (don't look at the pics I attached, it just ain't right) - frames of dirt where paintings used to hang (see pictures attached) - dangerous stairwells (super developing world) - different pricing if you stay as 1 or 2 people (in case your company is booking, this is important to know) - most of the 5 star reviews here seem to be written by locals - the spa on levels 1 and 2 operate as a brothel, any simple Google search will confirm this - staff are asleep behind the reception by midnight HOT TAKE: Liberty 2 is living off the Liberty name. It is unloved, and while it probably makes a good brothel, it does not make a great stay with your wife.

Online the hotel looked stunning; so stunning it gave us so much false hope. The receptionists are fantastic, but everything else was just a let down. There were 3 of us and it costs us $75 each for two nights - we were given a fold out bed for our third bed, they only have one elevator which is tiny, no air conditioning in the hallways, the breakfast was TERRIBLE. Everything was cold, and there were bugs in the jam - we also had a worker into our room to change the blankets without even asking first... We found the "polo bar" non existent. We went looking for a jacuzzi and pool on floor 1 & 2 and saw nothing... The safe in the room also doesn't work, and there's no towel racks in the bathroom. BUT It is in a really good location, everything is good walking distance.

very good service and comfortable. 1-bed single room: 1mil VND per night 2-bed double room: 1.5 mil VND per night. wifi password: 38224922. near the Ben Thanh market. breakfast buffet is nice and served until 10 AM

When you arrive at Ho Chi Minh City, you can book room in Que Huong hotel for your trip. The price is ok, The rooms are comfortable. The receptionists are so nice. The location of the hotel is very advantageous to your travelling.

I found the hotel in very central position my room looked out to the central markets staff very good, the room had new carpet and the bed was comfortable, the bus station is very close I took bus 152 which took me to the airport for $3.00. There are no hagglers outside the hotel, opera house Ben markets and all other places off interest are walking distance.

It is good for short stay and visit. The hotel stay right at the corner of Ben Thanh market. Plenty of restaurants and bars are around that roundabout. Easily to find very good massage, foot and body, Thai massage etc.

Great location, no hawkers, friendly, absolutely the best massage in Vietnam next door, short walk to every where I would stay here again. Breakfast is fair any one looking for glasses try Hoang Thanh Optical 49 Bui Vien st back packer area with out doubt the friendliest and best weve found in all our visits to Vientam

This was the second time that we stayed in this hotel as we had a great experience staying there 3 years ago. Unfortunately all the reviews of this hotel is true that it is dated and not maintained well therefore it looks scruffy. The hotel is in desperate need for renovation. There is only 1 lift so you often need to wait a while for it. In the bathroom, we were only given 1 towel each and a bathmat so no face cloth nor hand towel. Location is central and very close to Ben Thanh market. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Frequent guest since 2009, stayed there 10+ times. This hotel is part of Liberty group of hotels and one of the older ones and this isthe problem. Seems this place does not receive much investment in maintenance anymore. Airco is old, bathroom facilities 80s and the 1 elevator for the 10 floors is too few as staff and guest use it, what leads to waiting time. For 80 USD for a premium room one would expect better...
