InterContinental Saigon Residences

I've stayed at the adjacent InterContinental Asiana Saigon Hotel, but this review is for the residence, which is a second tower connected to the hotel by a small arcade that contains some restaurants and coffee shops. I'll use this review to compare/contrast the hotel/residence. The Residence has a lot of benefits over the hotel, particularly in terms of room size and noise. The hotel tends to be very busy with people everywhere, whereas the residence, to me, seemed much less busy when I stayed. The rooms are gigantic. This is an apartment tower, so people do actually live in these rooms. You have one very large living area with a balcony, living room, dining area and kitchen. The second room is a giant bedroom with a desk and bathroom. The desk situation is much less good than the hotel side, just because the chair and electrical outlet setup is not as convenient. It's pretty clear the hotel is geared for business travelers, and that thought wasn't really put in for the residence, which makes sense. As for the other amenities though, everything is essentially the same--bathroom, bed, etc. The balcony is a nice feature but there was no furniture on it, so nowhere to sit. The gym in the residence is good but not as well appointed as the hotel side (although you can access both), so it's not a big deal. There seemed to be less service at the gym/pool when I was there. At the hotel you have people kind of catering to you the whole time... and at the residence I'm not sure you'd get that level service if you were lounging out by the pool. When you stay at the residence you can also go enjoy the hotel facilities too, they are just a bit further (about a 2 minute walk from lobby-to-lobby). So really anything you might complain about at the residence you can still access at the hotel. You can eat breakfast either at the residence or the hotel. The residence breakfast is a la carte, while the hotel offers the standard buffet which I really have come to love in all my stays at the InterCon Saigon. Wifi was also extremely slow in the room, it was hard to connect and I'm really not sure what the deal was. I wasn't staying much in the room so no problem, but for people who need to get work done this would probably be infuriating. Elevators here are slow too relative to the hotel. One other small caveat is that if you're staying here for an event, the event will be on the hotel side. If you stay in the hotel you can just come down the elevator to the conference facilities, whereas if you're at the residence you'll have to make a little bit of a hike... but I mean, this is a marginal inconvenience.

The Intercontinental Group should be proud of its flagship achievements at this hotel in Ho Chi Minh. The staff are all friendly, helpful and professional. They made every effort to make our stay both enjoyable and a memorable one. The accommodations are first class, world class. Impeccably clean and well equipped. We lacked for absolutely nothing during our stay here. Congratulations and Kudos to both management and staff alike for making our stay one we shall never ever forget. My wife and I have travelled the globe and the Intercontinental Residences here in formally Saigon, rank amongst the best we have ever stayed.

I stayed here for 4 nights in Saigon in February, 2017. Comfortable, quiet and nicely furnished. The staff are very nice and helpful. I had no trouble checking in or out. It's one of THE places to stay when you're visiting Saigon.

Beautiful property with unparalleled service. My 5* experience started when I was picked up from the airport by the hotel car. Luxury at its finest. The most professional and informative driver I have ever encountered. Upon arrival I was shown to my one bedroom apartment that was beautifully appointed. Everything one needs for an extended stay was in place. The apartment was spotless. Housekeeping attended to every detail. Guest Services ensured I made the most of my stay planning every activity for me. All I had to do was to sit back and enjoy! Special mention to Nhan (Vu Thanh Nhan) from the Concierge team who ensured a smooth visa process, 5* airport transportation and provided In the Know information about sites and local attractions. The Club Lounge team with their engaging service really made me feel at home. Can't recommend IC Residences Saigon highly enough. Will definitively be back!

The apartment was excellent and always kept beautifully clean. The staff were so attentive and ready to assist. We loved the restaurant which had an intimate feel. The location was so handy to be able to walk and explore. We have stayed at many hotels throughout the world but would rate this top class for the politeness and willingness of the staff to assist your every need.

Loved this hotel, staff couldn't do enough to help and ensure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing but ensure it's included as it us 28 usd. Swimming pool is great and gives lovely views over city. Hotel is right next to the Cathedral and Post Office (two of the key sights to visit). Re-unification Palace is a short 5-10 min walk. Highly recommend this hotel.

Review on staying Intercontinental Saigon Residence. Overall staying in Ingercontinental Saigon Residence is not so good. As I am a IHG Platinum ambassdor member, I have stayed more than 17 countires around all over the world, Hochiminh Saigon Residence is worst ever. When I checked-in at the counter, Front manager had no smile to announce their policy to me. I was upset when check-in because they only hilighted restrictions of room-upgrade as a IHG Platinum Ambassador member. However, house keeping assistance and Gym-Pool management has almost perfect condition. Considering I will never stay Intercontinental Saigon Residence if I come back to Hochiminh-city, I will stay Intercontinental Hotel instead. And your hotel has missed out my IHG account QS, QN, POINT. I have complaint this problem through IHG HeadQuater. See you never again.

Good Apartment i stay here. It is a 3bedroom apartment, with a big living area, and 10person dining table. With great facilities like washer, dryer, refrigerator, cooking machine. I come for working trip, but i believe it would be a Great place for family. Their staff are friendly. and it is nearby to a lot of place, downstairs had few restaurants.

The room and hotel has everything. The staff is excellent. While sometimes there are small language barriers, it doesn't seem to matter because the hotel and its people are so enthusiastic to provide a great experience for the guests. Will stay there anytime I come back to HCMC.

All 5* amenities of Intercontinental were included in the 1 bed apartment that we stayed in at the property. The living area was equipped with a sound system - samsung 5.1 surround so could stream music from my phone and feel the sound too. The kitchen is well equipped too. There was a balcony with a view of Saigon skyline. The property also has a well equipped gym and a great swimming pool. This property is connected to the Intercontinental hotel through a shopping arcade. So, one can access the concierge services, restaurants and bar at the main hotel. The hotel doesn't treat the guests between the two properties differently. The attached arcade also has several options including the Hard Rock cafe, Starbucks, Hurom juice, Subway etc. The hotel is 5-7 mins walk from the Notre dame cathedral and the HCMC Head Post office. I have attached a few pictures with this review for other guests to see before booking.
