Although the hotel is surrounded by construction, there is no noisy at night. there are all services for business traveller such as a public shower room. I am impressed on employees. But I cut one star as an air-conditioning is not cold.
Very good staff, accommodating and good english. It's a very nice hotel and is good value. The street from the hotel to the centre of town is lined completely with dodgy massage parlours. Good for lonely businessmen, not for families.
Our stay here was great. Special thanks to Cindy who works in the restaurant. We stayed 2 nights and then returned later for 1 night. Cindy remembered our names when we returned. That was impressive as we left for about 10 days. Such a friendly and helpful girl. It was so nice to see what a difference it makes when someone loves their job. Thanks again Cindy.
Nice Hotel, although there was building work going on nearby. Nice pool on the roof, but bar was being rebuilt. nice selection at breakfast . Close to various points of interest and places to eat..big to the market and also be amazed by the number of Vienamese scooters going by.
The room was very nice but the bathroom was problematic. There was a see-through glass partition towards the bedroom , hence no privacy. There was no faucet with the commode. The hotel was a skyscraper but the lifts were few in numbers. The guests and the hotel's service staff used the same lifts so that once I encountered a delay. But the food was very good, the staff was friendly and the view from the rooftop of Ho Chi Minh City by the Saigon River was indeed memorable as was the royal dining experience in the rooftop dining hall. I stayed there in March 2018.
My brother in law decided to be careless with his passport, upon reporting it to reception the entire team kicked into action. They called the embassy, museum, markets and every other location I had been to all day. Too say the team went above and beyond any possible expectation is an understatement. Within 10 minutes they located the lost passport (was dropped in a taxi) and organising its return. I can’t imagine many other hotels and their teams going to the length they did. The team only adds to the already fabulous amenities, the rooms are clean and well presented. The in room dining is great (get the burger) and the air conditioning is good enough to make me want to put a jumper on after a long hot day in the 10000% humidity of Vietnam. Lastly and this is my favourite part. 1 kilometre and I’m absolutely everywhere and anywhere. Thank you again Nghi, Linda, Vanessa and Mike you officially saved a holiday and added to our endless beautiful memories of Ho Chi Minh city.
My wife and I stayed at the Bay Hotel in April of 2019, and we found it to be a very clean well kept place to stay. The rooftop restuarant was closed during our stay, but we did make use of the pool, there are towels and deck chairs for use. We opted for a window room, as there are some rooms without windows, so be aware prior to booking. The bathrooms are barely separate from the room, in an glassed in corner of the room. The glass is frosted, but it may be a little different than other rooms. The shower door, functioned for both the shower and the bathroom, which was an interesting little design feature. All in all, we would recommend the Bay Hotel. Its location was still within walking distance, to the nightlife and sights of District 1.
This place suited us a base but nothing more. Room was dark and dingy as had no window. Roof top pool was nice, although only 6 sunbeds which wasnt enough for guests. Staff were helpful which was good
Hidden away behind Little Tokyo 100 steps from much bigger and fancier Le Meridien. that said it's a 15 minute walk to the main tourist area around the Opera House. Tons of Japanese restaurants, really good ones too, within 100 metres. Spotlessly clean rooms, cleaned like clockwork. Big selection at breakfast as well, and the all inclusive mini bar is a nice touch. Only small complaint is the rooms are small. for what you pay was expecting a larger room. pretty basic but serves the purpose. Nice pool at rooftop where these photos were taken.
Fine, but no bathroom door and therefore impossible to put the bathroom light on without light flooding into the main room. Woken up several times in the night by noisy guests. Located in a slightly seedy neighbourhood. Free minibar, though.
