All the rooms are smoking rooms. Each room does have an ionizer air purifier. After three days of continuous use, most of the smoke odor was gone in our room.

We stayed two nights during the Hiroshima Flower Festival that was occurring right outside the hotel. Lots of fun things to do

This hotel is extremely convenient to the peace museum, peace park, and a-bomb dome. You can also walk to Hiroshima castle if you don't mind a 25 minute walk. During Christmas time, the hotel is located right across the street to the main Christmas display. The hotel is pretty easy to get to from Hiroshima station via tram (probably by bus too, but I find buses tend to be difficult to use if you don't speak Japanese). Finally, there is a boat nearby that you can take to Miyajima. The cost is a bit expensive though (~3600 yen), so we opted to take the train and ferry because they were free via the JR rail pass. The hotel lobby is very nice! They have a beautiful chapel at one side. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is large and hosts many weddings, so the lobby and elevators were always extremely busy and full of people during our stay which was a bit off putting for us. We had a weekend deal where breakfast was included with our stay. You have two options - more traditional Japanese dining or a more western style buffet with some Japanese options. We opted for the western buffet both mornings because we were tired of Japanese food and love breakfast! It was very good with a good variety. The room was not the nicest we stayed at in Japan (even though the hotel had the highest star rating). The shower had some mold and the shower curtain was flimsy and floated around due to the strong water pressure. However, overall we enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic time. The service of staff was outstanding, the hotel room lovely and the good delicious.

The staff was extremely helpful and the location is great for walking around Hiroshima. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Hiroshima Dome and the Peace Museum. We only stayed one night, but the room was literally making me and my husband claustrophobic! It was really very very small, but it's my understanding that this may not be uncommon for Japan standards. So just pay attention to the room sizes when booking hotels in Japan. I was originally booked at a ryokan on Miyajima Island (very close to the ferry landing) and I actually wished I had stayed there. The island is just really beautiful with so many temples and beautiful greenery. But my understanding is that things shut down early on the island....but what a beautiful place to go on a quite hike.

Hotel centrally located right by downtown and Hiroshima Peace Park. Only 5 trolley stops to main train station. Room great even for two people and price was very affordable.

Hotel room was extremely cramped. This was a double, but one side was up against the wall.

I have stayed in several hotels across the southern half of Honshu. While this room is still similar to a basic single room in Japan, the size was about 50% larger than the typical room. The location was perfect for a short walk to Peace Memorial Museum Park and the other Peace Museums, Hiroshima Castle, and plenty of food and shopping (Hondori Street). It is also a 20 minute trolley ride to Hiroshima Station and with a JR Rail Pass, you can easily get to places like Miyajima. This hotel will probably be our location to stay when we bring students with us next year.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was a bargain for the amenities it provided. The location of the hotel is perfect! It is only a 5-minute walk from Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Complex: park, museum, A-Bomb Dome, etc. It is also only a few minutes walk to restaurants and stores on Hon Dori. Heiwa Dori (Hiroshima Peace Boulevard) passes right in front of the hotel. The walk to the train station is only 30 minutes. Buses and taxis are readily available if you prefer not to walk. All-in-all, a comfortable and conveniently located hotel.

The hotel lives up to the Japanese accommodation standards: (1) excellent attention to details; (2) pride in maintaining the property and rooms in tip top conditions, and (3) small rooms. As expected, the staff was very helpful and readily willing to help. As noted, rooms are on the smaller side, but contains everything one may need, including a bathtub in which you really can't straighten your legs. The hotel is very conveniently located in the proximity of the Peace Park and Museum, and within walking distances from the Hiroshima castle and the Bus Center. If unable to walk more than a few minutes, there is several public transit systems available. I plan to go back to this hotel, if I go to Hiroshima again.

I'm sure there must be some good things about the Crowne Plaze, but our cramped end-of-the-hall room and absurdly small "semi-double" bed trumps them. The room was booked as a double for two adults a couple of months before our visit. In our unsatisfactory interactions with the staff, the lousy room seemed to have something to do with with fact that we booked through a well-known website and was nonrefundable. That also meant that we could not get our money back and go somewhere else. The hotel was full, or so they said, so we were stuck. Bed was little more than a twin and so uncomfortable I spent the second night on the floor. We were offered complimentary breakfasts and free use of the minibar, but it was nowhere enough to make us try this place again. Book at you own peril.

Most hotels in Japan don't have a very good reputation for being new and having an accommodating staff (note accommodating is different than polite). This was an exception, the staff were helpful and very flexible about a late checkout. Also, their English was superb and they were very helpful with our last minute transit requests.

Business like hotel. Wifi in the lobby. The buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. Near the U2 streetcar stop from the train station. Go outside of the train station to find the street cars. Don't take the train at track one inside the train station as we mistakenly did.

Nice hotel but probably not worth the extra money. The rooms were western sized but the bed was hard as a rock. The hard bed is standard for japanese hotels but I went here in the hopes that it would be more western. The Sheraton Hotel in Hiroshima is a better choice for a western style room and bed although its location is not as good as the ANA Crowne Plaza. If I went again I would save the money and stay in a cheaper Japanese hotel or pick the Sheraton. Service was impeccable and restaurants were good but expensive.

Pleasant courteous staff from check in to help with advice about were to eat, how to get around using public transport, etc. Room was absolutely quiet, perfectly clean and functional. Internet worked perfectly. Absolutely wonderful breakfast buffet on first flor, with mix of Western and Japanese food. it was one of 2 meals per day for me during my stay.
