First the location is great. The condo is a bit dated a needs some updating and repairs. The floor is tile but creaks as you walk (as if the tiles are unlocked from the floor). There was no ironing board. Master shower leaked water onto the floor. Carpet needs replaced, has a lot of staining from years of traffic. Couches were nice. Property managers only provided 4 wash clothes for an entire week which meant we washed towel and wash clothes every night. Did not get a “welcome kit” which I have come to appreciate which typically includes dishwasher tabs, fresh sponge to wash dishes and laundry tabs. Property was clean but dated, would be the title for me. Property contact was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a great trip and the condo was wonderful. The 5th floor location offers a great view of the beach and pool, far enough away from the noise. The unit was very clean on arrival and everything (that we used) worked well. This is our 4th time staying at Captain’s Walk, in different condos each time, and we would stay in this condo again.

Very nice stay. The only issue is the master bathroom. Needs some reno badly! Condo was freshly painted which was great. Great condo, but the bathroom kept me from doing all 5 stars.

60th anniversary

Very nice property , a ittle dated re: furnishings, but still very comfortable. One thing I missed was a chaise lounge on the balcony for more comfort when you want to sit and read.

Location better than unit

Not horrible but not great either. Older furnishings (picture grandma's house) No ceiling fans and the A/C struggles to put out any force of air. We actually went and brought a fan to sleep with. Ice maker in fridge was inadequate. TV in living room took a while to figure out how to turn on. Small mold issue in kitchen cabinet. The location was spot on. Beautiful view off balcony. Short walk around building to reach beach. Pool looked nice but we didn't use it. If you're looking for 5 start on the beach, look elsewhere. If you're ok with some minor inconveniences, this is a decent place.

Great Escape

Our time in Captain's Walk 455 was a great escape for our family. The unit was very clean and very inviting. The balcony offers an unobstructed and beautiful view of the ocean. You won't be disappointed with this unit.

We definitely love Palmetto Dunes location and amenities. The property amenities were nice; Pool, Beach, Grill area (Five Stars). Check-in went bad as Guard Station didn't have our name on the website, and we were cranky after 10 hours in the car. We were disappointed with patio as there was no table to set our drinks and food on, but the view was very nice! The kitchen area was nice for our family. My only advice if you are going to stay here is to talk to property manager, and not the owner.... Trust me ;-)..... *#***####

Beautiful condo..but

We spent eight weeks there recently. Condo could not have been more beautiful. However, there is no hot tub as listed and minimal balcony furniture..no table. Owner was a little over zealous in telling us how to take care of property which I found annoying. Had one issue with garbage disposal and it was quickly rectified.

Wonderful Captain's Walk Holiday on Hilton Head Island

Perfect location on HHI beach. Secure and lush surroundings made this clean & comfortable condo most enjoyable. Great beach front location: grand views and just steps to the beach. New appliances, wifi and in-unit laundry were pluses.

Beautiful condo and beach!!!!

Condo was everything we expected... Very well appointed and clean. We arrived early in the day figuring we’d wait until the condo was ready. Much to our surprise and delight it was ready upon our arrival.... A quick change and off to enjoy a day at the beach. Would definitely book this property again... We had a wonderful vacation!!!

Great location and condo

We loved the condo and the beach/pool being right there. We rented bikes and rode somewhere every day. The pictures on VRBO show the master bedroom with 2 different sets of furniture,so that is confusing and makes it look like there are 3 separate bedrooms, so this should be updated. We cooked in a lot and would have liked some better knives and some storage containers, but made do with what was there. But we would definitely go back to Palmetto Dunes and this Captain’s Walk condo
