Overall, we had a good stay, and the house worked well for a weekend getaway with our family. The location was convenient and close to the places we wanted to visit, which made it a great home base for exploring the area.There were a few things that future guests should be aware of. At night, there were quite a few gnats around the kitchen counters, which was a bit of a nuisance. Also, the property does not include a washer and dryer unless you request access in advance. This was mentioned in the listing, but we overlooked it, so it’s something to keep in mind if you plan to do laundry during your stay.The biggest concern for us was the garage setup. The day before check-in, the host informed us that one of the owners and his wife live in the converted garage. I asked for clarification about what that meant, but never received a response. We never saw or interacted with anyone during our stay, and there were no issues, but the converted garage shares an interior door with the kitchen. The door was locked from the garage side. It felt unsettling not knowing who might be on the other side. A little more communication beforehand or even a quick introduction from the occupants would have made us feel much more comfortable.
