We stayed here in August, 2019. We only stayed here for one night and it was an enjoyable stay. It was out first stay in a Cobblestone. If the opportunity arrives, we would stay here again. Restaurant selection is limited in the area, but there are a couple of choices within walking distance of the Hotel.
Greenville has finally moved into the 21st-century. It actually has a hotel that you can stay in as opposed to a campground or old roadside motor inm. The rooms are clean and comfortable in the staff is friendly and helpful. It is the only game in town if you were here to visit. Two thumbs up
We were in Greenville, Pennsylvania to visit family and for a wedding and was pleasantly impressed with the Cobblestone Inn. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. These are all important to me. The staff was also very friendly and efficient from the office staff to the housekeeping. I also used the pool and the gym, just like home!
We have brought our family reunion to the Cobblestone Inn for the past three years. We have always had an excellent experience. The rooms are clean and quiet and up to date. The breakfast is very good, as you would expect in this sort of hotel. The staff are extremely helpful, and always able to answer questions or assist. We rent out the meeting room, and enjoy having our meeting there, and folks always meet up in the breakfast area / lounge to talk or play cards etc. The hotel is very convenient to the park, downtown, and the museums, and right across the street from the Perkins Restaurant. We have had very good experiences here, and hope to visit again.
Fast and friendly check-in, room was very clean, common areas and hallways clean. Mattress was comfy, sheets and towels in great condition. Breakfast was above average!! I had read one review about smoke coming through air condition, and this did happen to us. We were above the outside patio, luckily it rained all three nights we were there, but on one of the nights someone must have been out smoking, because the smell did come in the room through the a/c unit. This is a smoke free property, and the patio area should be enforced. I definitely would go back, but request a room on the opposite side.
Buyer beware! Worst stay at a hotel ever. Children literally running around the hotel like herds of elephants unsupervised while their parents drank and partied it up in the lounge area. We complained to the front desk to no avail. They congregated in stairwells and of course our room was at the end of the hall adjacent to the stairwell. At one point I took matters into my own hands and told them all to leave. Construction of this hotel is so poor you can hear conversations, walking above you etc. So make sure if you do decide to stay here that you ask for the top floor. Hallway stairwell door closures do not shut quietly. Apparently the builders in their infinite wisdom decided not to put quiet closures on the doors so the SLAM loudly and it echos. Unfortunately all of the above completely overshadowed the comfort of the room. We haven’t even left yet and I was so compelled to leave this review. I’m sure the breakfast area will be teaming with unsupervised kids as well. Be mindful that this hotel is adjacent to Thiel College where there are sporting events held of travel teams on weekends. So that is why the issues are noted above. This is our second stay here and the prior stay had similar issues but not as bad. The fact that parents sit around and drink and party while their kids run around is an issue that clearly needs to be addressed. The “lounge” also doubles as the breakfast area and alcohol is served there in the evening until 11:30. This is much too late. If I had a room on the first floor I would have walked out refusing to pay it was so loud and crowded. Based on another complaint, hotel management should seriously consider changing the times of the lounge to encourage people to get to their rooms and quiet down. Hotel staff were pleasant enough when we complained but didn’t appear to do anything about it. We will never stay here again.
My wife and I just stayed there this past weekend. It was the first time we stayed there while attending an event at Thiel College. It is a breath of fresh air considering the limited options for a stay in the area that have been there, it seems, forever. I know the audience might be limited to just visitors (homecoming, football games, etc.) to Thiel is real, but it can be a stop off point for travelers going west to Ohio or north to Erie since it is not far from I 79 and I 80. There are also some respectable restaurants nearby. This might sound silly, but after a long trip it might be good to know the local bee distributor and state liquor store are minutes away.
The star system is meant to describe how luxurious a hotel is. For this review I am using the five stars to reflect quality at the price point. This is a renovated 1960s motel so it lacks amenities you find at pricier places such as the only other hotel in town. Don't expect a lobby, fitness center or pool. However, the place is clean and safe. The bathroom has been updated to modern standards, although the rest of the room is rather dated. We still got a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and iron with board, and working wifi. Breakfast isn't much but you won't starve. I've never gotten any breakfast at a budget motel, so no complaints. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. They don't have a 24 hour check-in clerk, but if you let them know ahead that will be checking in late, they have a system that works. FYI the restaurant next door is under different management and is NOT recommended.
this was a short stay but I must say everything was top notch room and beds were excellent. would stay there again not a problem. breakfast was standard motel fare but still good. parking was very, very close to eating spots.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 non-consecutive nights. My first check-in went super smoothly and I was given room 300. This room is right by the staircase, which was a little loud. The second check in I was in room 217 which was perfect! The room itself had 2 insanely comfortable beds, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer. The breakfast that was included was good. Eggs, and a meat (ham the first stay and bacon the second), waffles and the normal breakfast goods. The waffle maker needed a lot of nonstick cooking spray for the waffles as they got stuck in the maker. I didn’t use the pool/gym as my trip was too short. The checkout process was super easy. I appreciate the amazing service, cleanliness and ease of everything at this hotel. Thank you!!
