**The Space**

Holiday House Heraklion is a luxurious and family-friendly vacation rental, beautifully designed in the traditional Greek island style. The marble floor, combined with Greek ornaments on the ceiling, along with modern design in natural colors, creates a harmonious balance of elegant style and authenticity.

When you stay with us, you will feel Cretan hospitality while enjoying the luxurious comfort and the freedom of your own private home. Our vacation home features 2 spacious bedrooms, each decorated in soothing colors inspired by the color palette of the Mediterranean. Both bedrooms are equipped with king-size beds (new beds and mattresses in 2019) and are connected to your own sun terrace, furnished with comfortable garden furniture. This is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun or have a glass of wine surrounded by the serene atmosphere of Cretan nights. One of the two bedrooms also has an additional single bed, while the other bedroom has an extra baby crib.

The bright living room overlooks the garden and is designed to make you feel comfortable right away. The light marble floor gives the room a timeless and natural look. Here you will find a seating area with a 4-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, a smart TV, and a desk with an office chair. Upon request, we can turn the living room into an additional third bedroom with a single bed.

The modern, well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home if you wish. It features a large wooden table that invites you to dine or have a drink with your loved ones or friends. You will find an oven with a 4-burner stove, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a high chair. The kitchen is fully equipped, including dish soap, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, and much more. And, of course, your Cretan holiday home would not be complete without a bottle of extra virgin olive oil made by us!

The stylish bathroom is bathed in light gray tones and features a bathtub, toilet, sink with a mirror, hairdryer, and a washing machine. With soft towels, shampoo, and shower gel, you will find everything you need to refresh yourself.

Outside, there is free parking in front of the property, and the entire accommodation offers a fast Wi-Fi connection. Our vacation home is air-conditioned and has 2 fans that you can use on warmer days. For our young guests, we have toys, board games, a baby crib, and a high chair available. You have a private entrance at the front and a private sun terrace at the back of the house. An iron and ironing board are also available for your convenience.

You have private access to the entire apartment, including your private entrance, private sun terrace, 2 large bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious and modern living room, and your own bathroom. The spacious layout of our vacation home (100m2) accommodates small groups of up to 6 people, allowing you to be together while maintaining privacy.

And then there's Heraklion, the largest city in Crete, located on the northern coast. It's a bustling travel destination that impresses with its beautiful architecture, delicious culinary delights, abundant culture, friendly locals, and vibrant nightlife.

Stroll through the romantic alleyways, and you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. Heraklion is steeped in history and archaeological treasures, such as remnants of the ancient Minoan civilization that thrived here between 2700 and 1450 BC.

Just 2.5 km south of our holiday home, you'll find the largest and best-preserved Minoan excavation in Crete, the Palace of Knossos. This archaeological site is one of the island's most important tourist attractions.

Crete is also famous for its enchanting beaches, where swimming in crystal-clear waters surrounded by the brilliant colors of the Aegean Sea brings a sense of rejuvenation. Along the north and south coasts of the Heraklion region, visitors discover beautiful sandy beaches for relaxation.

The nearest sandy beaches to Holiday House Heraklion are Amoudara Beach on the west side of Heraklion and Karteros Beach on the east side of Heraklion. Both are located approximately 7 km from our holiday home, ready to welcome you for relaxation and refreshment.
