The sea view was phenomenal!!! LOCATION was excellent!! FOOD was delicious!!! STAFF was awesome!!!! Thank you!

I loved the breakfast and the view of the harbor from the room. That said, everything else was so so. Our room was microscopic--about the same size as our cabin on the ferry coming over to Crete. That means there were 2 twin beds (of me and my son) and a narrow shelf that served as a type of desk--no real room for anything else. As for the hotel itself, it's been reasonably maintained, but it needs a bit of an update. The staff was incredibly helpful, and welcoming--great people!

Outstanding location in central Heraklion. Five minute walk from the city centre, and a wonderful base from which to explore the alleys and shops of the city, and five minutes away from the Archeological Museum. Also near the highway for easy access to the Palace at Knossos. The included breakfast is fantastic too, don't miss out. And the staff was amazing. Our contact person was Eirene, who was wonderful : knowledgeable, generous, thoughtful, efficient and absolutely someone to go the extra mile. Really a wonderful stay, we had such a great experience.

The rooms are very small and dated for the price of the hotel. There are such beautiful properties in Crete for similar prices.

Breakfast was terrific, rooms were nice. Ours had a balcony that overlooked the water. We could walk to town which was convenient. Desk and breakfast staff were very pleasant, and the valet for the car was great. Only complaint was that the bathroom was tiny.

The hotel is nice, located close to the port, bus station and center of Heraklion. A little outdated but has everything you need for your stay. The staff is very helpful!

The hotel was close to everything and the satff was very friendly.

Great location; easy to find. Staff very nice. Beds, etc. great. My only problem was the internet was super slow. We didn't use it much, but wish it would have been stronger to post pictures, etc. Breakfast was huge and yummy. The meal on the hotel roof was wonderful, and overall we had a great stay!

Good location, very quiet, breakfast delicious, friendly staff

Good breakfast, great staff. Valet parking is convenient. Hotel is a little dated but overall still good.

Modern clean walking to center city and port and museums. Helpful staff

Very disrespectful staff! The few things we called for the staff would have a smart mouth, for no reason. Was very uncomfortable to be there. I visit greece every summer and stayed at 5 different hotels, the other 4 were amazing, here was horrible

Excellent all the way around...Particularly since we for a really bad one in Rome right after!

Average hotel that is all about location. Walking distance to port makes this hotel attractive.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was located right in the heart of Heraklion making it super easy to walk around. They provided free parking for my vehicle during my stay and also held onto my luggage after checkout before leaving the city. Everyone was very nice and the room was nice.

This family run hotel is very charming and the reception is very useful and answer to your request very quickly and nicely. Hotel is well located, beside the port, main touristic street and close to the bus station A if you want to visit Crete. We stay at the Lato Annex with view on the port. Airport is 10 min away and you can either tale a taxi or bus to go there. pity the fridge was so small we could not put ice cream in the freezer.

Very accommodating, missed my connections to get to Crete. They gave gave me my room for the next day with early check in , no extra charges!

The Lato was very convenient to both the port and the central bus station, perfect for our overnight stay arriving on a later ferry and traveling on the next day after spending the morning at Knossos. The hotel was stylish and comfortable and provided excellent service, allowing us to store our bags while at Knossos. The included breakfast buffet is the best I've seen outside a cruise or 5-star all-inclusive resort. The in hotel restaurant also provided a convenient and tasty meal.

Hotel staff was very helpful. I ended up getting sick during the trip and they sent someone to get medicine since all the pharmacies in the area were closed on Sunday and didn't charge us.

We stayed one night, to catch a ferry to Santorini at 8:20 the next morning. The location was great with a 9 minute walk to the ferry, as well as just a few minute walk from the town center. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was particularly good, including a machine that squeezed fresh juice from oranges loaded into a metal tube. Finally, awaiting us in the (modest) room on arrival was a carafe of raki/ tsipouro and 2 shot glasses and a tray of pastries.
